Are waffles really all we've asked for, or are you conveniently ignoring the voices of the jentacularly marginalized to further your own wafflist agenda?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but discussion has at least tangentially touched the preference for pancakes over waffles amongst those with taste and style, sadly underrepresented as this clearly more distinguished and discerning group of guitarists is on this forum.

As anybody who is truly educated in this field will undoubtedly and immediately concurr, the only way to guide FAS into the syrupy sunset of the most golden of futures is the immediate abandonment, no, the death of Cliff's outdated waffling approach and the adoption of modern, deep pancaking technology, DeePaTec, incorporating Machine Tossing to prevent burn-in.

FAS desperately needs something to compete with IK's Toastex and the Nano Croissanx!
 
What if it's an actual waffle? surface-mount/slide-in mini board that can bring a simulated amp to the new (I know, I know) effects only device that's coming?

There is an FX8 for sale in my area locally for cheap and I’m so tempted to buy it..This announcement can’t come soon enough 😭

No. That’s why I don’t want to buy the FX8. I have an fm9 and I love it, I use real tube amps and only really use the fractal fx. but I’m looking for a backup or something I can run fx only with. My fm9 is mounted on a large board with 2 ev-1s so a smaller “B rig” setup would be nice too. Hoping this announcement delivers something along those lines 🤞
 
I mentioned before if it could have anything to do with the future functions of the fc pedals. There is a currently unused but for future use port in it.
 
Yeah if you can't get a usable sound on any current generation modeling unit, you've got bigger fish to fry. They all sound pretty damn good compared to what was available when I was just starting out. Fractal just takes it to another level and the comparison is only with the real amps.

I think the Fractal “gifts of tone” would also fall under the artist presets category, so could still be models or profiles. I love the theories flying around, but there’s a chance my wallet may not when it’s officially announced.

Mine definitely won't - I just bought a new motorcycle (BMW GS), and it's going to take a little while for my wallet to feel better. That may not be a bad thing for a brand new product - give them some time to get caught up with whatever wait list they have, and sort any bugs out.
 
My guess/hope is it's a new controller. Like a bridge of the old MFC-101 and the Elgato Stream Deck XL.
I imagine it could have a look like a waffle with mini LCD displays. It could also be the ultimate solution to anyone's complaint about UI and FC options. Floor model or desktop model is anyone's guess, but I'm hoping desktop.
 
It's probably going to link FAS products with Co-Pilot (AI), so you can work and pursue your hobby at the same time. 🍻

In other words: What role will AI play regarding FAS products in the future?
