Lead tone clips maybe 1db as far as going in the red a little....nothing wrong with that. The big reverbs 'bloom' and end up clipping the output...like digital clipping. too much output.

Actually....curious if people put an envelope on the 'level' of the reverb...and have it turn down if the volume gets over 100%...or something like that?? surely there's a way to contain it while keeping it musical/dynamic

That's what I figured. Just didn't want to limit the verb from being as present before it starts becoming louder. I haven't tried the compressor after the verbs....was hoping the verb itself had a way to limit this. No worries. Thanks for the input!

Long time user...but never found a happy balance on this. I'm running verbs and delays in parallel...now using the new killdry function. I have my amps and drives set where when I'm at my loudest..I'm just at unity gain on the output meters. Once I use a delay or verb for huge ambient...

Wish Tempos saved per song

Would be HUGE to save the tempo per song rather than per preset. For those of us that use 1 preset setup for most songs....it would keep us from having to save so many presets just to get a different tempo. Basically this would be a per song override of the tempo saved in the preset?

Gapless Switching on AXE FX III

Does anyone know if it will allow for spillover between channels? This is the biggest thing I have to work around and I can manage with scene controllers...but i can only use 1 reverb type. Would like to switch reverb types and have spillover continue.

Bug? Switches lost mapping and amps changed

Hey all. I turned my fm3 on this morning to run through a quick practice and my drive block mapped to one of my switches disappeared. It was if the switch wasn’t mapped to anything. FMEdit still shows the correct mapping. Nothing has changed on the unit. I turned it off and turned it back...

Ahh...this sounds exactly like what I'm hearing. I guess my ear didn't pick up on it quite as bad before...but it even happens on the neck in places that were pointed out on the G-String. I'll try to dial it back a little with the settings in the threat posted. Thanks so much!!

Hey all...I noticed on certain amps that I get an undertone...almost like I'm using a octave drive or something when just playing a simple note. I've noticed it in the DC 30 model...but I don't notice the same issue in fender models and it's not as obvious in the AC20. I'm not a high gain...

not the same for me. Mine was popping between scenes only using scene modifiers. I removed the modifier being used on the Klon drive and it went away...so believe mine is related to this issue being resolved.

Dead USB... Again...

I have this same exact issue with mine. It's the non-headphone unit. The lights come on when I plug in the USB...I can't power the unit on with the USB plugged in or it just goes to a white screen. I submitted a support ticket and was told to just plug the USB in after I power it up and...

I've seen this mentioned by several. Some said it was a hardware issue and the unit had to be replaced. Support told me to wait until the next release to get it resolved. I sent them video of it happening as well...doesn't seem like it's a FW issue or everyone would be experiencing it.

It's actually happening to every preset. My input volume stays the same on every preset..unless I select channel B and go back to channel A...then the volume goes to wherever the preset is supposed to be. Also...when I shut off my FM3 with USB plugged in...the lights stay on and I get a sound...

I have a preset that boots up on channel C..which is a Bassman in the amp block. FM3 Edit always reverts it back to the 59 bass. I click on channel B...then back to C and it now shows the correct amp in the editor. I have a video of this happening if anyone needs to see it. I'm on the latest...

Question for everyone...if you had the choice between a Temple Audio Duo 24..or a PT3...what would you do? Also...does the Ax8 fit in the PT3 case?

Control Switch (scene)

Is it possible to activate a control switch when switching from Scene 1 to 2? I noticed I saved control switch activated in Scene 2...but when I try to use scene 2..the ctrl switch doesn't activate. Specifically...I'm just trying to activate the 'boost' in the amp block in scene 2.

AX8-Edit 1.8.3 Released

I'm getting bugs with Axe Edit all over the place. It takes forever to try and connect..then disconnects. I was able to pull it up one time, but wouldn't let me change amps or bypass modes. Anyone else seeing any of this??

1 expression multi effects

Question #1: I have over 40 presets for a cover band. I want to knock this down to 1 or 2 'sounds' that will cover the set. However, I only have one expression pedal and I use it on a way as well as delay controls. Is there a way for the wah and delay controls to be used at the same time...

Amp Block compression

Oh wow...You definitely win when it comes to advanced parameters. I'll have to do a bit more reading on those to educate myself. I don't want to fall too far down the rabbit hole.

I am a seasoned user of the Axe Fx II as well as the AX8. I have been overly pleased with the progression of these units and I have always been satisfied with my tone. I rarely if ever adjust any of the advanced parameters. I found it made things more complicated when having to reset after FW...

MIDI control for lights

So....one more question around this.....is it possible to simply send 1 midi note to something? For example..I have 45 presets (preset per song)...so when I press up to the next preset...midi note XX is sent. I don't need multiple midi notes..just the ability to send 1 in order to tell Ableton...

MIDI control for lights

Is it possible to setup switches for midi triggers? Or..I noticed each scene can send a midi pc...so can the scenes be setup to only activate midi but not effects? Just trying to find a way to trigger out lighting rig through my ax8. Thanks!!

I haven't tried the 'cut' switch. I might try that. I'm running through custom in-ears. They're high dollar quad in-ears...so I'm hoping I am getting a true sound from them. I do hear a difference when turning up of course...but more pre-amp and less power amp sounds like a wall of gain and...

Samples played through Ax8?

Hey everyone....quick question. I'd like to play recorded samples (maybe a movie quote) in between songs. Just a fun gimmicky thing to do for the crowd. Is there an easy cheap way to do this through the Ax8..maybe the FX Loop or something? The only thing I can think of is getting a pedal...

Metronome on/off not working

Never mind..figured it out. The FW update must have reverted my 'external ctrl' back to pedal 3 as well..so both metronome and external ctrl 3 was set to pedal 3. I changed external ctrl to none so only metronome had pedal3. Looks like it's working.

Lighting suggestions for 80's band

Ha...yeah...that's why we're getting the 'Swarm Wash FX'. I think it will serve the purpose of the Vertigo HEX idea as well as the aircraft landing lights because it has movers and flood lights. :) Also..I forgot to mention we have a MARQ 700 haze machine to use when we can. Fun Times!!!

I confirmed the select status is ok...working as described above. I haven't had the menu glitch again..so not sure what caused it the first time.

Bug Report: I updated to the new FW and went to practice last night. I didn't change any system parameters..just pulled up presets to do a run through at practice. I had the following issues: 1. The Global/IO/Utility screen froze...no button would get me out of the screen..had to completely...

Input clipping on every input pad setting

Soo...anyways. Anyone got any ideas? Got a gig tonight and would like to use it if possible. By the way...I set the axe fx at 50% input if that means anything.

Hey Chris...the input meter doesn't seem to change on any pad setting. The him bicker is a standard suhr humbucker with no boost.

Hey all...curious if anyone else has seen this. My input is clipping no matter what pad setting I put on the input 1. By clipping..not just tickling the red...but the actual meter is clipping and I can hear a click sound when it happens. The output is not clipping..not even close to it..but...
