It is the modded JCM 800 and dynacab with 2 ribbon mics I believe I have a real Karma MT-10 OD into the front that really gives a clear punchy push that makes a huge difference in the finished tone.

Thanks! Atomic CLR but your primarily hearing the mains. I use IEM's so I don't really need the FRFR but it's nice to have a little stage volume coupled with mains when I sometimes pull my ear piece partially out and for what bleeds thru

Legacy Vs. Dyna-Cabs

Not having to sample endless IR's is soooo killer! At first I could hear the clarity of the dyna, but did not dig them until I put the ribbon mic and correct hi/lo cuts -bam!!

No I was still in scenes, the LCD went to the signal chain or something, like I said I cannot recall, It just freaked me out that if I hit my solo button (in scenes -all 3 buttons displayed the scene names) that it would go somewhere else. What could have triggered to home screen to go to...

For an average TS or SD-1 sure. Guessing you have not tried a Karma MTN-10? So much more string clarity and overall analog feel I A/B'd with all my FAS go to OD's and not even close

If I was going that route I would take a real head and board which I will still do at most gigs The goal here is to dial in a pre set that sounds killer in the FOH and my in ears. The majority of the audience only hears what comes out of the PA anyways

I can hear the Lincoln aspects but I need more gain and more string clarity. The IR was ok, but nothin amazing. Dialed in dyna cabs with 2 ribbon mics and the clarity was so much better. I will try your peq for sure, thanks!

Friedman amp models -does one have the Plexi ch?

Do any of the Friedman amp models have the best part of any of Dave's amps -the Plexi ch. In the Smallbox, BE and JEL amps ch 1 is the coveted modded Plexi tone. As far as a I have seen there are no ch 1 options in the Friedman models If there is one which model might have it?

Why can't I delete these blocks?

Tips for dialing live tones with PA versus desk monitor bedroom tone

My studio has a lot of foam and hanging 4 x 4 wall coverings to dampen tone. The bedroom does not and is very bright but I notice it more from a less tight and almost distorted way for lack of better description than overly bright which is what I would expect.

I've had the asm 12 and the slightly better asm 10 in stereo. They suck. You cannot dial out the top end, heavy awkward ect. The CLR neo is the best FRFR there is. I've had Xitone RCF and the ASM's which are the only runners up. For what your looking for as a loud bedroom player get some...

Tom just got a whole new batch in and offered a few hundred off so I opted to get one which is finally en route from east coast to me in Calif. I have not used one in years so I will do an updated review following it's arrival :cool:

Anyone care to share rock crunch preset set up for single coils?

What I am comparing it to is a live band volume thru pa and IEM's not desk top monitors or headphones. I've used FAS products since 2011 and still opt for real amps 99% live. But always looking for useful to get closer to my real rig set up at band volume

That's the back live rig. Unlike most on the forum I'm able to crank a real tube head through a 4x12 in my studio. I only use my FM 9 for bedroom writing and rehearsing!

Presonus desktop monitors and headphones when wifey is in the house. The biggest thing that helped was finding the balance between running the normal gain not too low and more specifically not too high in the Plexi amps. The Treble gain is usually ran closer to noon and the normal very low...
