IRs York Audio Master Thread - Newest Cab Pack: KW 412 M25-SH

Third-party impulse response pack
It’s very convincing and I believe Nolly purposely had it designed that way. It’s one of my favorite neck humbuckers.

Oh very cool. That's the dream, a humbucker that can cop a noiseless single-coil too! So far that makes the ZexCoil Tribucker and the Polymath, from what I've read.

This is very interesting. Does it split well too? Any clips you like that demonstrate the single coil sounds coming out of the Polymath well (either in parallel or split)?

Just purchased the KW pack it is awesome - best one yet.
I stumbled across the U67 with the 57v and it's a great tone smooth but not dark and less bottom than using a 121
Awesome! Yeah, the 67 is like a Goldilocks condenser that isn't too much or or too little of anything... it's just right and sounds great blended with other mods as well.

Is this the same cab and speakers as your mes os v2 pack?
Yes, this DynaCab is based on the same physical cab as the MES 412 OS-V2.

I know this isn’t completely related, but curious how your pickup endeavors are going! @York Audio From what I saw you talking about, it sounds like the Mule bridge and VH ii neck could be a really great combo! Did you ever try out the mule neck with an A5? Just curious how you're liking the bare knuckle stuff after spending some time with them and how you’re finding them against the thornbuckers after some time.

The set I landed on for my #1 Les Paul is a Mule in the bridge and an Emerald in the neck. The Emerald is hotter, brighter, and clearer than the VH II neck. It sounds great by itself and sounds beautiful when combined with the Mule in the middle pickup selector position. I still really love the BKP stuff and have been trying the different pickups in different guitars to find the right combinations for each one. There are several pickups I still need to order from them for a couple of "character" guitars, so that'll be fun.

Did you get a chance to check out the Rebel Yell yet ?

Justin, will you be releasing more dyna cab packs in the future? So far your recto dyna cab is my absolute favorite but would love some of your other cabs in dyna cab format.

Are the cab packs on the FAS website from YA different than the packs on the YA website?
I really like how the stock recto cabs from YA sound and been thinking about exploring those a little more.
I am especially interessted in the M25 and Orng packs. Does anybody have experience comparing them to the releases on the YA website?

OK so I bought the pack and compared them. Wouldn't recommend it, a lot of the IRs sound pretty similar, but the IRs on the YA website sound better to me, like more high definition if you will. I know they are newer. Oh well, for science, I guess.

Interesting. I thought the one on the FAS site was a DynaCab and the ones on the YA site weren't. Figured the DynaCab's would sound better. Surprised to hear otherwise.

Ya, and I assumed that the other user bought the DynaCab pack and compared, but I see they didn't specify. Would be curious to see if anyone has A/B the DynaCab to the other pack.
That doesn't make any real sense. The IR pack has static IRs dialed in by Justin. The DynaCab packs leave micing and mixing the job to you...

Sorry, should have been more clear about that. I talked about the M25 Greenback packs. I compared the M25 Checkerboard pack from the FAS website to the Marshall M25 from YA website. They both are static IRs, not DynaCabs.

I usually spend a long time with one York IR until I try out the next York IR. Most recently, I spent a lot of time with the M65 Cream and the KW 412 M25.
The cab I had paid less attention to was the york 212 DV77 and I have to say, after using the 212 M65 Cream as my main IR for a long time, I like the DV77 even more. It's like an in-between of everything.
It has both low end and highs that don't bite, as well as smoothness and attack at the same time, the others all have either or. I don't know how Justin managed it, but the DV77 is simply an egg-laying wool-milk pig.

I do believe that the kw 412 m25 has a special quality but I'm not the biggest fan of this IR, the MV30 has more character and the normal M25 sounds better to me, I think another user once wrote the same thing. Of course it's all a matter of taste
