Neural networks capture with the super input trick to avoid aliasing
These are great suggestions. I'd love to have a place for short text / comments. And being able to name the Channels would be very helpful.I think the main thing for me would be more meta data and assignable lables:
- A comment field for presets. Great for personal reminders and even better for sharable presets that could highlight for instance what expression pedal is assigned to what function, or a reminder to remove a block if there's no expression pedal 2, or whatever it could be.
- Custom Labels for Channels, which could then be visible on the foot controller. Instead of Drive 1A, it could be labeled as Klon and Drive 1B could be labeled as Screamer. This would make it a lot easier to have toggle switches between channels, to show what they've actually set to.
- Visible defaults. If I'm playing around with the brightcap or the input EQ, I would find it very helpful to have a visible representation of what the default value is if I want to return a value to its default.
Excellent!Off the top of my head I can think of several Ax4 items. In no particular order:
(There's a thread for this list somewhere (Ax4 feature list) but I can't seem to find it.)
- Relay switching jacks to facilitate amp channel switching in 4cm scenarios.
- Separated Left/Right Input and Output blocks.
- Stereo block input option for all pitch modes (several only allow mono in the current Axefx).
- Acoustic sim block including 12 String mode.
- Feedbacker block equal or better than digitech Freqout.
- Doubler block equal or better than TC mimic.
- A Tape/Doubler block equal or better than Strymon Deco.
- Increased CPU (yes - some can max it in some scenarios (and always will)).
- Full user assignable CPU without block instance limits within available CPU.
- Allow distinct modifiers attached to a given control in each and every channel.
- Isolated virtual power amp section capability.
- Reverse MUX block that can send input to a selectable mix of multiple output paths.
- More Send/Return blocks.
- Profiling capability (have not always been a fan, but Tonex convinces me it is at least .. "handy".
- Export Tone Match to PEQ.
- 31 Band Output EQs - on/off midi switchable.
- Offline Patch Editing.
- Ios editor support.
- Separate headphone volume ctrl.
- Customizable front panel home screen.
- 2U Form factor.
- Merged Midi Out/Thru option.
- Polyphonic synth
- ...
Needs an option to add melodic notes if it detects you only playing pentatonic scale derived lines for too longOh god,
Please don’t make us wait for axefx 4 for a decent feedbacker block.
On a serious note,
Axe4 needs the long awaited, much maligned yet incredible talent block. Automatically pitch corrects your bends, tightens timing, inserts melody if you’re above the age of 49 (consent depending) and an extendable paddle that emerges from output 2 to kick your ass when you’re not playing well. (Midi controllable by the drummer of course).

You beat me to it…I was going to post the same thing!Flux capacitor edition
Something like a Neural Amp Modeling playback block would be great. It would help bury the competition as it would allow the end user to compile unique drives/dirt pedals/preamps/amps that aren't currently nor likely ever to be included as stock FAS models. Darkglass has just done this with their new Anagram bass pedal and for many it's a total game changer ( for bassists, at least ).

OpenEmu support with the ability to use a PS4 Bluetooth controller
Maybe a channel strip/mic pre block could be cool? I know we have the preamps in the cab block right now of different types, but a lot of magic for a lot of channel strips is the EQ points and curves they have (IE neve vs SSL vs API). Having a channel strip block that gave circuit accurate emulations of things like an SSL 4k e or a neve 1073 would be super cool. I know there’s plugins and shit out there that do these, but I’d love to add a 1073 emulation to my bass DI chain entirely in the axe FX for live shows.
Also a stereo tape emulation block with different settings for track vs master tape could be cool for adding different vibes.

One wish is as good as the next, but it's been a loooong time since I remember feeling limited by the amp selection we have. That way you aren’t limited to what is modeled.
If Fractal solves the post capture tone shaping, then it’s game over for all others.

Except for the manufacturers that are building the gear it’s capturing right?
Maybe I have bad memory but did people talk about gear like this in the 60s,70s,80s & 90s etc or were they having too much fun playing music?
