What do you think of Vivian Campbell's playing.

I Like Viv in his Dio days and with Riverdogs.

Something about his playing of that era reminded me of Blackmore mixed with Tipton as far as riffage.

"Holy Diver" and "Last in Line" albums was where it was at for him playing wise. Saw, "Sacred Heart" tour with a lot of tunes from the previous albums played... :encouragement:

... I always felt like Viv was just an unleashing a torrent of notes, whereas Craig's solos had more "structure".

This is so true. Viv has own style which is that "teetering on the edge of disaster" kind of a style, reminiscent of Page.

Ok. This begs the next question. What is your favorite Viv Campbell song? And then part 2, your favorite solo of his? I think my favorite song (this is so hard to pick) is Last In Line. Also my favorite solo of his. 2nd would probably be Egypt the Chains Are On. That solo is smoking.
