What are you listening to right now?

Ha! I just watched the Rick vid last night. Pretty cool.
Interestingly, I only hear the low harmony in the “Turn Turn Turn” line. Could blame that on my tinnitus but I’ve always heard it that way ever since I received a compilation album with this song on it when I was 7yo in 1968. Only when he played back the isolated vocals could I hear the high harmony.

Checking in after I and a little of II, while exercising.

Damn that's good stuff.

We'll see how far i get. I dropped off them some before Physical, always respect, but not as emotionally connected to them. I know people love it.
Finished II.
Damn again.

All 4 of those players are righteous f-in MONSTERS. Arrangements, production, tones, are all A+++. Great record, one of a kind, no wonder it got to me back them, and lots of other folks too.

Plant is an excellent harp player too, which he doesn't get enough credit for. Too bad he let it go after the first few records.

Right on about Plant's harmonica playing. Maybe on later albums there just wasn't a spot for it, less blues-y songs after IV.

Zep III, have to say, kinda meh to me.

The songs by and large are pretty forgettable. Not that i expect or am looking for catchy top 40 hits, but still, there's just nothing special to most of it.

Oh well, not every album can knock it out of the park like the first two.

I like III, but, like you said, it doesn't stand out like I, II, or IV. III is kinda like catching their breath between II and IV.

Every few years, my wife and I rewatch the Lord of the Rings movies. That always makes me think of Immigrant Song, even if it's not a direct reference (like Ramble On and Misty Mountain Hop).
