Video : farewell to V7 and a nice idea (delay's feedback controlled by enveloppe)

Fremen,

Crazy good, I can see many hours spent noodling with these presets. I think you should be commissioned to create/modify factory presets!

Nice work!

Thanks a lot for sharing Fremen...really nice stuff....suits my Suhr GG perfect.

One bad thing tho.....i didnt get much sleep last night after your send me the patches ;)

Keep up the good work. Thoose patches should be part of the the factory presets. Many crazy, yet brilliant, ideas in the builds.

Cheers

Thanks for sharing these fremen- quite a bit of work and knowledge in these presets. Very kind of you to share with us.. I'm hoping I can sit down and work through them this weekend. I'll comment on my findings if so. Let us know how things change based on the new FW as time permits.

Thanks guys. Yes I'll keep in touch with everyone who got my presets, I'll probably launch a blog or something like that. First I need to figure how to do it, I need a "launch your website for dummies", lol

A question for the specialists here : two of my presets uses custom harmonies, controlled by the expression pedal (to alternate between thirds and fifths) and of course they won't sound like intended if you don't have the same custom harmonies in your Axe. Are these settings exported via system backup ? Else, I should note it one by one and it would take me ages. These are very specific, and work on a Eb tuned guitar only btw

Hi again.
Just play`d with your presets today.. I love them.
And i learn`d alot.

Thanx!!

Hello

I played with your presets last night. A lot of work you have there. I love your tone making capabilities.

I found funny that you are still using blocking EQs on most of the patches like we used to do with AXE-FX I.
Most of the Fractal family guys told that wasnt needed on the AXE-FX II but listening to your patches and enabling disabling the block I still think it makes sense.
Thanks for opening my eyes to that, and many thanks for sharing your hard work!

regards
Ricardo

Amazing patches and playing. Thanks and awesome for you giving credit where credit is due to the other members of the forum. :D

Just a quick addendum to everyone who asked for those presets, most of them features real time control with one expression pedal (user 1), try that ! I can use only one exp pedal with my Rocktron midimate so most of the time there's no volume control, but gain control, wha, whammy or other tricks

Hi guys,
those using my banks are probably getting strange results with my presets 112 (Major penta harmonies) and 113 (Arabic harmonies). Here's the custom scales for them, for a guitar tuned in Eb. If you tune in E standard, you'll need to play in Eb arabic for preset "Arabic harmonies", and Ab major for the "Major penta harmonies". I use the expression pedal to alternate between thirds and fifths intervals.

preset 113 Arabic harmonies : Custom scales 3 (Voice 1) and 4 (voice 2)
preset 112 Major penta harmonies : Custom scales 5 (Voice 1) and 6 (Voice 2)

Custom scale 3 : starting from 'A' SHIFT : 4 semi,3,4,4,3,4,4,4,3,4,3,3.
Custom scale 4 : starting from 'A' SHIFT : 7 semi,9,9,8,7,6,7,7,8,9,6,7.
Custom scale 5 : starting from 'A' SHIFT : 3 semi,3,3,3,4,5,5,4,5,4,3,4.
Custom sclae 6 : starting from 'A' SHIFT : 8 semi,7,8,7,8,7,7,8,7,7,8,7.

So if I use a regular vol block can I just bypass that first filter u use for the gain control on ur pedal? Or at least bypass it??

yes of course you can, if you have a MFC101 you can uses 4 exp pedal, right ? I can use only one with my MidiMate

Fremen, kudos. Some of these presets are really really good. I've been having some fun messing with them. Thanks again!

A question, are the tonematched presets working properly in V8 ? If not, specially for my acoustic tonematch (in presets 001, 020, 021, 022, 066) you'll need the effect block preset, here it is. Else, you can bypass the block

EDIT :
Another thing, some people have trouble uploading IRs to the Axe, here's as screenshot showing how I do it with Axe Manage ; here, I'm sending my user IR N°44 to slot N° 44 :

Fremen, I had zero trouble playing the acoustic patch 01 with both 7 & fw 8.01. Sounds great. I just lowered ur last two bands on the geq but that could be cause of my pups and RCF cab. I could also just bypass the peq blk either does the trick for my setup.

Also for the IRs all I did was see which IR your preset was using from my list then just swap it to yours according to your chart. Was cake....

I think it's time that we do something for one of our community.. fremen needs a MFC-101 and I would like to spend some money for him that he can buy one... but I thought if we all that we have already the wonderful work on Axe Fx II and the others who would like to have them just put together the money for one MFC and FAS could send him one from us... This patches are really wonderful and it's a lot of work behind them, and if we can help.. let's do it!!!!

Thanks Midifine :) Giving is absolutely not mandatory, I share my presets for free, but if you want to help me for the MFC (or another better foot pedal controler for the Axe), you also can, a big thanks in advance.

So, I just launched my guitar blog :

Fremen's guitar blog
It's quite basic now but the presentation will be improved as soon as I'll learn how to do it.

The download links for my banks are in this post :

Fremen's guitar blog: Axe Fx presets - a presentation
it also contains detailed presentation of almost every preset of bank A, and links to many videos.

I'll keep this blog up to date as often as possible, as I constantly program/tweak new presets.

Best regards,

Fremen

Nice Fremen! Great to have descriptions for your presets.
