Wish Sample Block

Experienced
A block that can store pre-recorded WAV samples (one per channel) that‘s triggered via MIDI.

Possible uses:
  • Canon (For Those About to Rock)
  • Church Bell (For Whom the Bell Tolls, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Hells Bells, etc.)
  • Sonar (Floyd Echoes)
  • Clocks (Floyd Time)
  • Money (Floyd)
  • Alarm (Future Breed Machine)
  • Car Ignition (non-electric)
  • Explosion
  • Birds
  • Whales
  • Baba Booey
  • Farts
  • And so on…

I know at least two bands using an Axe-FX III + laptop to get there samples running. With a lot of Midi-USB cables, DI boxes etc.
So from the perspective to not have more devices than necessary on a stage, this would be a cool block for sure.

For the FM3 this would be cool if it incorporates the USB-A port.

This may not be feasible, but could IR storage be used for this (like a block of ten), after all its WAV files.

I think even if you wiped out a bunch of IR’s you’d still only have a very short sample time, and then people would complain about why you only get 5 seconds when other products have 30 minutes etc etc, not to mention how little use it would provide
