Finally felt brave enough to post a song because everyone here is so amazing....

Here's a dumb, quick, unfinished demo recording I made, guitars and bass all through axe fx III. It's sloppy, but it was for fun / a test.

Can I ask what amp you used for your rhythm guitar here? I'm trying to get something in this vein nailed down and it just isn't quite there... Necro bumping your post for inspiration!
 
Jcm800's on both guitar tracks. If it helps, it's rumored they used

50 w Marshall 800 for distorted rhythm guitars
Halkan transistor combo for cleans
Bass through a Sovtek amp (the large one) through a 4x12 + DI.
Mics: Sennheiser 421 for close micing and AKG 414 for ambience"
