I try to understand the influence of the bypass mode parameters "thru", "mute fx out" and "mute fx in" on the level of DIRECT SOUND for DELAY1, REVERB, etc. blocks when used in series.
I only mention the DELAY1 block here (REVERB, etc. behave the same):
- I use DELAY1 block (in series)
- MIX is 50%, LEVEL is 0dB, Balance is 0.0
- I set this block to BYPASS (with SPACE key)
- now, I compare the level of my direct sound in
1) "thru" bypass mode
2) "Mute fx in" bypass mode
3) "Mute fx out" bypass mode
Result:
1) and 2) deliver the same level of direct sound.
3) delivers a lower direct sound level of my guitar.
But this seems strange to me... and it is annoying, when trying to give different presets the same level of direct sound.
According to this picture:
"Mute fx in" and "Mute fx out" should deliver absolutely the same direct level in bypass mode, or am I missing something?
Thanks, Andy
