I tried them with some lower and mid-gain patches with great results. Also tried them with some clean Mesa amps and they sounded good.

Are the new cabs primarily for metal or are they suited for any type of music?

any type. they just give you all the mic positions you could ask for. what kind of music you do with it is up to you.

Just a brief interjection - I finally had time to update the home page (well, technically the store home page as the bare domain url now 301 redirects to /store/ for less unnecessary clicking), the Vectors are now on there. One can click on the left side quick access menu, the blue V3 Vector Library text, or that big picture of what looks like a deranged nautical compass-esque... thing... :lol
