Let's get some specs out boss!

Looks like a 1/8" midi port? I see 2 Exp pedal connections. External power supply.

What's in the box?!! Effects, Looper? Drugs? Don't hold back!
 
I'm sure we're all burned on speculation, and just getting frustrated waiting for the waiting list to open up. And I don't want to be Debbie Downer, but.... the only thing we know for sure is that it has Andy Woods' delay settings.

There's still no confirmation that it has anything other than delay, right? What if Cliff just felt bad for all the players that used Line6's DL4 pedals, and were let down by the DL4mk2? Haha. I'd buy Fractal's take on a DL4 any day.

That’s right, that particular processor is specific to Andy’s needs. So when this FM4 or whatever it’s called, u have to specify what effects u want in the box. 😉

Its going to be a full packed unit! maybe even with capturing capabilities!
 
I don't know if this has been said as I don't have time to read 79 pages of comments but I'm wondering if it's an effects processor designed to use with an existing amp as I read somewhere that it's not going to compete with any of the other products. In other words, no amp or IR models.

I sure hope so. I've not been too impressed with the limitations of capture technology to be honest, I guess I prefer the tweakability within Fractal. But I do admit that it would be nice to have easier access to the sounds of some of my oddball drive and fuzz pedals. Even if they're not as adjustable.
 
At that size, it isn't the unit I was hoping for (a pedal-sized FM with a couple of switches and a limited subset of amps and FX) so it must be an FX-only box to compete with the Line 6 product etc. Not sure I'd have a use for that, but FAS may yet surprise us all :D

I'm a bit of a newb with all the connection stuff. Can you explain the difference (if there is one) between an effects processor designed to use with an existing amp VS. just a multi-fx unit/effects processor unit?
