DynaCab™ Pack SBB 8x10 is Based upon Ampeg SVT 8 X 10 SVT 810AV Bass Cabinet, this cabinet is voiced with the original 10 inch cast frame woofers (with reportedly 30 oz magnets!). It contains a whopping 26 mic options!

DynaCab Pack - Dr. Bonkers Soundlab SBB 8x10 Bass - Vol. 1 is based on the Ampeg SVT 8x10 SVT 810AV Bass Cabinet equipped with the original 10-inch cast frame woofers (with reportedly 30 oz magnets). The Ampeg SVT is capable of focused bass tones, delivering deep lows, articulate mids, and crisp highs, making it versatile for a wide range of musical styles. It is basically the fallback “rock bass cab” — the tone by which all others are judged — but it also excels across alternative, funk, fusion, gospel, hard rock, indie, jazz, metal, Motown, pop, punk, rock, soul, and more. It loves clean, slightly driven and full-on distortion tones, and is even great for extended range and down-tuned guitar.

Funny, all the text & the mic list on the buy page indicate 26 mics but the graphic says 23. Which is correct?

I must say, this pack is so versatile! I have spent hours on it already and the tone options on it are incredible. I am loving how it is actually quite hard to get a bad sound out of it, there is very little "flubb" and it gives you a very wide tonal palette to work from.

My main preset is almost definitely getting an overhaul from this. Thanks @dr bonkers for such a great pack!

What bass(es) are you using?

@dr bonkers do you have any recommended mics or mic combinations as a starting point?

I really like two combos so far:

Dyn 57, Dyn B52, & Rib R10

Dyn 421, Dyn D12e, & Con CV12

Play with position and volume. Add in stereo room IRs like the U87 hard panned left and right at -15 to -20 db.

But really this pack is designed for experimentation and to get pretty much all possible tones via mic selection, position, volume, combination, and perhaps a little eq, just like the real world

Awesome, thank you. I live in a condo so I can't really get to gig volumes unless I'm in my rehearsal space, so it will be nice to send a few different mixes of these to my unit to try at rehearsal.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but the bonus room cabs are acting up for me when trying to load as FullRes cabinets. Its really weird, all of the right side IRs load fine and work as expected, but all of the left ones completely kill my signal and are silent, regardless of input and output levels. The files are loading into the proper slot (slot 3 or 4 for FR cab), and if I go to the align tab I just see a straight line all of the way across for the non functioning cabs. The working right channels show up as expected in the align tab. I've also tried deleting and reloading the IRs but it didn't make a difference.

Which specific mics are doing this? I didn't notice this in testing them, so please let me know.

Repro steps:

Downloaded zip from email with room cabs
Extracted into new folder
Imported into fractal as full res cabinets:

The AKG414 mic worked for me as expected with audio from both the left and right files, setup below:

The other three mics had no audio in the left channel, sample setup from one of the mics below:
