New BabyMetal video out

'Like' may be too strong a word. I am fascinated, though--kinda like slowing down at the scene of a car crash to see whether there were any casualties.

i think it's the Perfect soundtrack for any Hentai-Horror-Metal-Porn...Great musicians....innocent schoolgirls....evil demons....aaaargh...no, just kidding. funny stuff, makes me smile all the time ...

I don't know about you but I feel really weird watching this, almost perverted in a way :?.

Maybe it's just me but I think this is a sign, when you see Heavy Metal or New Metal I guess (I don't know what genre to put this in maybe Pop Metal?) when it reaches it's peek. Anyone remember when grunge took over from Hair metal? how gooey and polished it was just before it died a miserable death.

I associate Metal with anger, gritting teeth guitar solos that compel you to play your guitar (although the solo in this tune was pretty good) and screams that shatter little glass figurines, not cute little girls that smile do choreographed dancing dressed in tutu's and sound like Pikachu.

I guess I'm old fashioned when it comes to Metal so I say Fad, it will die a slow death and when everyone is tired of watching these little girls hop around on stage which I suspect won't be too long it will be replaced with something else, and the wheel rolls on.

See you in the mosh'sh pit? ... ya right, give me a brake.

First time seeing something like this, I have to say I am not a fan at all. What I see are what seems like under age girls jumping around which at my age I have 0 interest in seeing. The background music is ok, the vocals are very annoying like the chipmunks, which I did like when I was a child but not so much now:) To each his own I guess.

I know what you mean, the girls are probably older (hope they are) but the bottom line they look like 12 year olds shaking their asses.

I was looking for a clip (but can’t find one), it reminds me of the first Blade movie.
Blade goes into this club there are three girls rapping; in Catholic school girl uniforms no less. Like these girls they look like there F***ing 12 also. And in the scene the whole club is filled with much older businessmen, leering at the girls as they performed.
Blade is a Vampire flick (for those who don’t know). And what I described above was by far the creepiest part of the movie, for me.
This “Babymetal” gives the same vibe the only thing missing in this video is club filled with businessmen, like the Blade movie.

Huh. I'm pretty open minded when it comes to genre, but this??? All I can seem to muster is... Huh. The visuals are a bit, well typically Jpop, in a metal sort of way, but the music itself. Well, it's a solid Huh. I think it may be the singing. It just doesn't work for me.

Just checked the Wiki on them, their ages are Vocals, Suzuak Nakamoto 16, Moa Kikuchi 14, and Yui Mizuno 14. There is no way I would let my Daughter do this not at this age.

I agree with everything said here. One of the first things I thought was "Aren't they a bit young to be doing this?". After stomaching most of the video, I noticed the girl's costumes are no more revealing than ones I've seen at recitals and such (I have kids in this age group). Not revealing at all. They're not doing vulgar moves. Actually no where close to what's "accepted" these days. The audience looked really young as well.

With that said I'm still like "What the hell!?". Amazing that that filled that venue.

maybe for some People it's a Little embarrassing but you can't say, that the Japanese are not Open minded....IMHO, it's just a "One Trick Pony" ....but a real funny One.

the Japanese also Support "True Heavy evil bloodsucking Minor Melody Metal" also....for over decades, when no One in the US or Europe wanted to hear that Kind of stuff, the Bands that were famous in the 80s gigged in Japan like Mad, to get their income.....

See you in the Mosh'sh pit!!

I am a fan. I'll take this any day over the growl, screamo, dog barking shit vocals that usually go with this type of metal.

...this music is a substantial investment for japan's Heavy Metal Heritage...imagine: lill' 8year old Akira sag's to his mom: "When i grow older i want to learn how to Play Guitar like my Heroes From "Babymetal"....I think this is Way better than....i want to die by choking my vomit just like John Bonham did, ....
