Looper Madness

My favorite: "My wife isn't going to appreciate a single second of this." Fortunately mine said "I like it, but I couldn't listen to a lot of it."

I can't get it out of my head -- and so far I'm still really enjoying that.

I've never been into microtonal music but this is very cool. It sounds like Primus on mushrooms...unleash the ring modulators, weirdness, and microtonal guitars ha!!

This is very fun to listen to and watch...their presentation is a hoot.

And...one of the most impressive things overall???? It's that he can manipulate his pedals successfully in bare feet :sweat:....!!!
 
Things I cannot imagine these guys saying:

"No matter what I do I hear this one weird frequency in my tone and I just can't get over it."
"There's this slight bump when I disengage the effect and I really need it to not do that."
"Let's not practice. I'm gonna go play some video games."

I just discovered these guys/things yesterday and have been OD'ing on 'em at work solidly since. Just listening at home now on good speakers for the first time.
I mentioned about them today in a text conversation with my guitar tech and he had become aware of 'em last week. Haven't been by The Lounge in a few days and wondered if they had made it here as the almighty algorithm, of which I am quite immune as I use Brave for an ad free experience (Hallelujah), seems to be pushing 'em into the general consciousness quite hard. The great man himself is, of course, one step ahead!
On my palate I am getting notes of Primus, Gong and Ozric Tentacles. King Gizzard... with the microtonal thing too, obviously. I don't get a 'math rock' vibe (shudder) as these guys/things have a sense of humour.
Normally I'm not interested in looper stuff as I see it mostly as a novelty thing or get an Ed Sheeran brain association at the word (shudder again) but these guys/things are on another level.
My favourite comment was the guy saying about his childhood nightmares have formed a band.
Also, when I noticed the tiny pyramid on top of the hi-hat stand I was in stitches. I have an absurdist sense of humour...
