Looper Madness

I had seen a short excerpt from this yesterday and was intrigued.

Just watched the whole thing and quite enjoyed it.

Among all the goodness in there, I was impressed by great bass tone and the excellent bass lines. Some funky stuff :)

Not able to link, but Jean Paul De Roover was doing some cool looping with an acoustic, voice and a small sampler (?).

Dammit! I can't stop watching these guys. This is the first thing I've seen in a long time that is truly inventive and off-the-hook talent. Pretty sure there must be subliminal messages in there instructing us to do things we're not normally comfortable with.

I recently got myself a boss RC600 looper just like in the video. It's a fantastic looper, it does a lot!

Does the Boss time sync to a click? And does it do quantised loops? I mean you hit start before the first beat and it starts looping automatically on beat 1 and automatically plays after one or two bars.

Think that band is using quantised looping and the drummer is playing with a click. This kind of complex looping is not possible without a synced click.

I believe yes to both. I know for a fact it does quantized loops and free form loops etc.. I believe I messed with some sync to click stuff as well. I'm still new to it and finding my way around it, but so far it's been nice and fun! :)

Yes. Everything can be quantized on the boss loopers. You can send in an external clock or have it be the master

ok good to know. Wish the Axe fx looper could sync to a click. It does quantise loops, but only the ending of a loop, not the start, also not sync to a click.
