Let's see those FM3 rigs!

If you’re 40 meters away from the mains, sound takes over 100 ms to reach you. That’s 100 ms of latency that you can’t dial out with any gear on earth. Going back to a wired connection won’t fix it, either.

Well that explains that one then :)

actually - if anyone needs the screws/washers to attach the FM3 to a Temple Audio board and is prepared to cover postage (I'm in the UK) - I can send a load on - I've got LOADS left over

Actually, that’s 1994 days later, give or take. :)

...I think I'm finally ready to commit to a board? Maybe. I'm overcomplicating this "simple" rig even now.
I get it. I’ve tossed around the idea of a pedalboard for years, agonizing over whether I could even commit to a configuration. Maybe it’s time to just do it. I’d really rather not create and tear down connections at every show.

Simple and happy :)

FM3 screwed unto a Temple Audio Duo 17 with my wireless powered by a Fender Engine Room LV5. Picked up the Duo, Engine Room and IEC mod all for £120! IEC splitter under the board means one power cable into the side and everything good to go.

Room for an MXR Bass Synth pedal should I ever need that Synthy goodness...

What size screws did you use for the Fm3? I have a temple board on the way and plan to do the same thing

I think it'd get lost in all the footswitches! Are you running them all as mid?
You’re not one of those Octopus Man types, are you.

It kind of puzzles me how people move from pedals to devices like FM3 and then use footswitches to recreate pedalboard experience, with a switch per individual effect and such. I’m like, guys, isn’t the whole point of going digital in getting rid of all this foot juggling?

Apparently not, what do I know. 🤣

You can use just the original 3 if that's all you need.
It got one more switch than an FM9...bottom row is midi

It's the opposite for me...I'm recreating a pedal board on a smaller footprint but without the cabling, power supply, etc...i.e. things that can cause a failure on a gig.
You still have to press on footswitches to turn on FX...how else would you?

Yeah, but not individually, I use scenes that turn those things on and off in bulk.

But also, I said that jokingly, not to start a debate, everybody is different, of course.

Here is my next final iteration!

Gokko/Soyan 12" X 18" aluminum pedalboard.

EHX Pitch Fork provides a pre-Virtual Capo, which allows the FM3's Pitch Block to do post pitch processing.

MXR Timmy provides a very flexible OD for the ToneX One.

The Tonex One provides two foot switchable DI Amp Captures, Compression, and Reverb/Room, which then shares the FM3's Cab Block with the FM3's Amp Block, which finally allows the two active Tonex amps to be cross-faded with the FM3's Amp Block.

All the pedals are powered by the FM3's FAS Link connector, via a 12V to 9V buck transformer, plus an isolation transformer/voltage regulator for the two digital pedals.

Mosky Dual Footswitch.

Ceba Screen Protectors.

Mooer Footswitch Toppers.

Mooer Footswitch Shrooms.

Mono Club 2.0 Case

Custom DIY Patchbay (to save the FM3's connectors from people tripping on cables on blacked out stages).

FC Setup...

FC1 tap controls the Ableton LIVE Looper Plugin's Play button, and hold the FM3's Tuner.
FC2 tap controls the Ableton LIVE Session Loop button, and hold selects an Auto-Whammy FX.
FC3 tap switches a Delay FX, and hold selects a Freq Out/Feedbacker FX plus the Ableton LIVE Looper Plugin's Undo button.

The Mosky Dual Switch 1 tap increments Scenes, and hold decrements Scenes (the majority of FX changes and cross-fades/fades are automated via MIDI from Ableton LIVE).
The Mosky Dual Switch 2 tap selects an Auto-Wah.

As much as I love the FM9 I still can’t get away from just having a few of my favourite drive pedals and the simplicity of the immediacy of the knobs. I mostly use the FM3 as a multi effects pedal in front of an amp but then it’s also my headphone setup and direct option if I need it.

Dominion fuzz > tuner > phaser > analogman modded OD-9 with bad bob boost > Lightspeed > rattler > input 1 of FM3

Boss BCB-1000 board. Strymon Ojai powering the pedals and split IEC cable powering it and the FM3
