Latching pedals for vol inc/dec in the rear jacks?

So, I want to set up the rear pedal jacks to increment and decrement the volume. I have an old pedal lying around, but it has latching switches. Can it work with this, cause... well... it doesn't as yet, or do I need to get some momentary switches?

OK. I got it to work. Bad cable.


But it goes up 0.9 dB on first switch and 1 dB on second... Doesn't matter if I start with the switch closed or open.
Or does it go up 9.5 (or 9.4) dB per switch?

It shoud go up/down 1 db / click
