What floors me about that performance is that Tommy said he never learned the song, but wanted to try to play it as a tribute that night. Then in typical Tommy fashion, he plays a killer version off the cuff.

I first listened to him in Bon Jovi's Blaze of Glory album (nobody will make me ever change my mind: terrific record), used to have as a reference the Vais and Satrianis of the era, his playing was out of this world to me.
