I'm about to rant, don't read if wasily offended.

Right, I appreciate that JP is next to God as far as playing goes, but weight up the business he attracts against the business that Fractal lose for having poor customer service. I know that FAS provide this forum, but we pay for the products, so technically WE pay for this forum and should be able to verbalise opinions. Secondly, I removed at least 6 f**s and f******s before posting. I was livid.

Is it really necessary for the sarcasm? I pisses me off when the rest of thw world has to wait and wait and wait and wait, whilst Fractal sell direct to customers on their online store to US customers and get it in a week. Why can't they relieve the waiting list first. I could understand if it was just a parts issue. It's clearly not.

You piss yourself off ? :lol ...sorry couldn't resist

and Australians invented kangaroos, scary spiders, and aborigines :mrgreen

Not sure we "invented" any of those. Most Americans would be surprised to know that Australians invented the refrigerator, ultrasound machines, and the digital audio sampler.

For the record - the kiwis have way scarier spiders than we do.

nah just joking.... Ha ha? :lol
Nonsense aside, that is some pretty cool facts that I didn't know.

Welcome to Ireland my drunken friend!! :lol
The little Irish village I used to live near had a post office, a grocery store (what we in the US call a convenience store) on the other side of the post office, a gas (petrol) station, 2 churches and 3 pubs.
And BTW - the Irish invented the pub crawl.. not the American's :)

Update - I've dug a bit deeper, and am no longer convinced Australians "invented" the refrigerator - it appears it was actually invented in Scotland. It's one of those things we get told as kids and accept as true (like Americans believe they invented the telephone, despite the fact that Bell was a Scotsman who developed his telephone in Canada, and also despite the fact that a German - Johann Philipp Reis - had already invented it 14 years earlier).

We definitely invented the sampler and the ultrasound though.

Yeah, but deadlier? :shock

No, our spiders are much deadlier. But - as per the original condition - our spiders are nowhere near as scary looking.

As an example - this harmless-looking, friendly little guy will kill you in under two minutes.

Not unlike Les Paul geeting the nod for the electric guitar even though George Beauchamp working with Adolph Rickenbacker had done so 10 years prior.

I sent the email months ago and I still don't have mine yet? I live in Phoenix, Arizona...

I made my comment based on my opinion, formed from available facts at the time. It still doesn't excuse the horrendous waiting list time however fantastic Fractal are.

I've apologised, what more do you want from me?

You made a fool of yourself mate.

Lighten up; it's just a guitar toy. There are people dying in the streets for freedoms you take for granted (like being a whiney little girl on internet forums). The cost of your toys would probably save the lives of many kids in 3rd world countries.

If "peak oil" becomes a reality in your lifetime all these toys with be pointless and useless.

Start breeding donkeys, learn to repair Bicycles, and grow your own food.

Oh........And try and apologise with a bit more grace.

I did! I apologised sincerely and some people STILL felt the need to stick the knife in. I'm not begging people for forgiveness because I was pissed off at the time and made a rant about what I felt was a genuine grievance.

There are some holier than now people on this forum. I'm surprised that they can breathe can breathe all the way up there.... on their high horse.

I just wanted to vent my frustration, not start world war 3 or piss any forum users off. But there really is some vindictive so and so's on here.

I genuinely apologise for not having more restraint, but I have a right to defend myself and my actions, whether they are justified or not. I'm sure that if the US members had to wait 7 months for their units, they'd be just as pissed as I was.

I haven't read this entire blume of smoke, but I wonder, why apologize?
"I'm about to rant. Don't read if easily offended" comes to mind.

(I say keep poking at the church of fractal. It's fun and revealing. Meanwhile, I'll be in the corner doing scales. Don't mind me.)

Don't hassle the Americans. They invented the nuclear bomb and fat poor people.

and the artificial heart, and the microprocessor/home computers, and lasers, and chewing gum, and the Polio vaccine, and kevlar, and the lightbulb, and the assembly line, and the airplane, and band-aids, and the pill, and vulcanized rubber, and crayons, and zippers, and video games, and roller coasters, and Viagra, and the remote control, and bras, and ATMs, and genetic engineering, and cardboard, and wire coat hangers, and tea bags (take that UK), and satallite communications, and...

Not bad for a country that has only been around for 235 years. ;)

I did however, speak to [M@] who explained things a little better to my moderate satisfaction and enough to restore my faith in Fractal.
...
Can we put this one down to a heat of the moment rant and not hold it against me? Pretty please?

Sure thing. Good chatting with you yesterday, Fab. We're all friends here, right?
After all, the most diverse among us still have more in common with each other than we have in difference with a forum member for, say, one of these groups:
WTF!?: The 8 Strangest Communities on the Web | Cracked.com

Hang on a sec, JP getting a 2nd before me was a fraction of my point. Its the fact that they sell them online every other week to US customers yet don't ship promised numbers to overseas distributors that was frustrating me. Of course JP will get one before us, I wasn't criticising that. I think that aleclee, perhaps has misunderstood or not read all my posts.

I'm not trying to start a war here guys, but it's easy to sit there in the US happily playing away on your new Axe Fx 2, or even if you want to buy one in the next month, knowing that you can just buy one from the site and have it shipped straight away.

It's not a sense of entitlement, it's a sense of fairness, to all on the waiting list, whatever order it may be in. Just be fair to non superstar regular Joe's like myself.

It was my understanding that customers pay for products, which in turn pays for server fees, to keep this forum running (a fine forum I might add). If I'm wrong, I'll say I'm wrong. No harm intended. :eek:ops

Why not buy the Kemper KPA instead? European users are already deep in beta and Europe will be getting their units before US... and Kemper is being WIDELY distributed through major retail chains.
................ oh wait, Kemper has been delayed................ again.................... sorry about that..................
I too was unhappy with many things regarding the initial release of the AxeFX II, and I'm in the US so I have (had) even less to whine about. The reality is Fractal is a small, booteek, sell direct for the most part shop. I don't see that changing anytime soon and I don't think Cliff and company really WANT to change that anytime soon.
That is something that I had to come to grips with and I'd be lying if I said it didn't take a long while to accept those facts.
I do feel for customers outside of the US for sure, but my Kemper analogy shows that we will be waiting for a competing product and the shoe will be on the other proverbial foot for that one. The HUGE difference is that Kemper is supposed to be an international company with dedicated international distribution and sales team and they can't even get their shit together for release.

Yeah well, we invented crumpets.. o_O

I lived in England for 4 years. While it is too expensive for an American to live there, I will give you this; the UK gave us Clapton, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Stones and Black Sabbath and for that, I am forever grateful.

Your pubs are great, too!
