Fm9 Send Midi Clock glitch

Hey!
I'm trying to send MIDI clock out of the fractal into a delay pedal, but the clock keeps drifting and the delay reads the drifting and gets crazy with tempo.
Has anyone had a problem like that with their systems?

It most certainly can send midi clock. Added in FW 8.01:

  • Added a Send MIDI Clock option. This can be configured to send MIDI beat clock messages to MIDI, USB or both (or off). The default setting is MIDI only. NOTE: USB Firmware 1.03 or greater is required to send MIDI Clock over USB.
  • Added a selectable Receive MIDI Clock option. This can be configured to receive MIDI beat clock messages from MIDI or USB (or off). Default is MIDI.

I haven't tried it yet, but have you used it with any other devices?

Problem could be on the receiving end...
 
Yes, they added it last October but apparently it’s a little glitchy. At least on my end.

Whenever I turn on or off effects, the MIDI clock drifts. I’ve tried multiple receiving devices using both MIDI 5Pin and USB.

I'll see if I can test between some of my devices but I only have Fractal stuff to test with ;)

I have seen this drift before when receiving clock from BandHelper via USB.

If I can see an issue I'll report to the private beta team.

Which firmware version are you using?

Also, try to turn off Send RealTime SysEx. Possibly the midi stream is overwhelming the receiving device.
