FM9 Firmware Version 11.0

There's been a ton of discussion regarding the changes to "tube hardness". I know this has been asked, but I'm still really confused. Do I actually need to reset the AMP block in any (or all) of my existing presets?

I'm currently on FW11 (was on 10, 11 beta 1 & 11 beta 2 previously).

I know what tube hardness is referring, and have messed with this parameter quite a bit - but stock valves have always been great for me.

Hi everyone, I'm a new FM9 MKII Turbo owner here. I'm on Firmware 11.00 beta version 1. What's changed for version 11 beta version 2?

I wanted to report an issue with the new metronome on/off switch in firmware version 11 for the FM9. While the feature is appreciated and works well on the Axe-Fx III, on the FM9, there’s a problem: when using an external switch or pedal, the metronome flutters on and off instead of staying stable. This happens regardless of whether a cable is plugged in or not, and regardless of which pedal number is used. The metronome does not remain consistently on when activated, leading to a disruptive and inconsistent performance.

I hope this can be addressed in a future update.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Eido

The official GA release for 11.0 is out now. You probably just want to upgrade to that version instead of the beta. Release notes will contain the latest additions and fixes.

I updated mine today with the bot. Really simple and so far all is working fine. Band practice tomorrow and a theater gig this Sunday. Hoping for the best.

I just tried something out. Changed my amp's tube hardness value to an arbitrary value (8.0), when default is 2.6. Did the soft reset from the channel menu in FM9 Edit. Nothing changed.

On the other hand, doing the soft reset for all channels on that preset, this time from the preset manager, did change the values to the correct default. Not sure if that's a helpful thing to report for this issue.
same here
soft reset don't do anything with AC20 EF86 for Tube Hardness, I have to change manually, or change amp and reselect it to have change .
Same for speaker drive.
This bug has been corrected for axe fx III.
@FractalAudio ?

The preset bank number are faded on the screen. It is supposed to be like that?
You mean this?
Updated! The preset number has a yellow backround which is pretty dark. Is this normal?View attachment 146644
The explanation is:
Now when loading a preset that was created using a previous firmware version the preset number will be shown in inverted text on the large font home GUI. This indicates that the preset needs to be saved under the current firmware to update it for compatibility with “Gapless Changes – ALL". Presets created and saved with the
currently running firmware also load faster in general

It seems to have messed all of my custom presets up. Is anyone else going to have to revert back to the previous version

My FM9 (OG) has had several "communication time out"s/freezes today while saving presets or reording presets in the preset manager. Has happened at least 7 times.

Just wanted to report that I cannot use the editor right now. The editor is updated and the FM9 successfully downloaded both updates from FractalBot.

It says there is a communication time out issue.

I can still interact with my FM9 and the switches act as they should, but I cannot interact with the UI. None of the face buttons work. I also notice that the top left on the zoomed prset setting is now highlighted with a sublte shade of yellow. I hope that is supposed to be there.

I totally might be doing something wrong too. Just wanted to report it here in hopes that a solution can be found.

Did you reboot?
