FM9 Firmware Version 11.0 public beta #1

Having bought a AX8, back in the day, Firmware Friday was always magical!
And fast.f yet again it is one more time...

Thank you, FAS! :relieved:

to confirm, my existing patches will change when updating?
Dave,
The factory presets may bump large block number count presets over the recommended 80% CPU range mark. Redownloading the factory presets allows more freedom regards staying with the CPU limits, specifically for non-turbo FM9s. User presets are not part of this, and may need manual adjustment individually. Best to scroll through your user presets and check where your CPU usage falls.

So if I wanted to go back to 10 what about the dynacab update we have done for this FW? I just want to go back to see if it's my ears or the update-because things sound, well I'll say different.

Thank you, FAS! :relieved:

Thanks Bob, I think my question was for my custom presets (patches I've created) when I run the update ui script 4 post fw... Will my created presets be re initialized to new settings? This was a common thing in ax8 days... has it returned?

TBH, I don't think so. User presets were created by the user and don't change when one updates the factory presets. Might be wise to sample each user preset and try to simplify/modify your preset whenever possible so as to involving smaller amounts of CPU.

I'll need to do that myself every time we receive a finished final version. Will try to make better use of room air, multi-tap delay, and cleaner verses.

Presets don't get updated by firmware updates... Regardless of being Factory or user presets.

So on the release notes published by @leagueofkruger, do not say they are limited to factory...

Thank you Cliff and the FAS team. Please keep releasing your updates regularly every month or every week — they’re like gifts. You make me feel like a child again.
Christmas is coming soon, and I hope it’s going to be grand.

Well I treid to roll back to FW10. Now I have NO LCDS? Marvelous. I did have to install the FW 10 dynacabs, which I did. Any ideas?

Reinitialize your Layouts...

Or restore from your pre-upgrade backup.

They're part of the system backup.
That did it-Thanks as always.. Things just sounded different but IAH I haven't played much since the operation but things really sounded, well, different and this is the only way for me to know.
