Bug? FM9 Edit Crashes

Ya I was pressing the 'X' key to switch channels. This is consistent for me. It's actually irrelevant how quickly I do this. If I just casually switch bypass modes between 3 or 4 channels it will crash. I just found that out.

Doing this behavior on any other preset doesn't cause this?

Yup, preset 370: Marco Fanton GoT will also cause the crash when messing with the Plex Delay block Bypass Modes.

I wonder if this is similar or has something to do with the bug with the Plex delay on the last firmware. I think that bug has something to do with the diffusion.

Hmm maybe not. I forgot you said this... "this was happening with the Multitap Delay and regular Delay Block as well."

After installing the new firmware and the editor did you do a refresh after new firmware option that you can find in the setting?

After it crashes and you reopen edit, go up to I think help. Look for the log section. See if there is a log of the crash. It should pull up a notepad if there is anything in there.

Yes I have done that.

The only logs available on FM9 Edit are 'Block Library Log' and 'Preset Translation Log' both of which tell me there has been no log created.

Mac OS creates a crash log, where can I post a huge text document?

I noticed my thread was (appropriately) moved.
I put it in the FM9 discussion forum because the thread detailing how to properly post bugs specified to post in the respective “discussion” forums with links given only to AxeIII/FM9/FM3/VP4 discussion forums.
I would suggest adding the appropriate FM Edit sections there as I thought the FM9 Discussion forum was the correct place to post.

All good! Just wanted to possibly clear up a misunderstanding from someone in the future.

I am unable to reproduce this on Win11 and two different Macs (M1 Mini and M4 Mini).

What operating system are you using?

Does this still occur if do the following:
1) Close the editor.
2) Navigate to an empty preset and then reboot the device.
3) Restart the editor and recreate the problem preset. (Do not use the block library to recreate the preset.)
4) Redo your actions on the dropdown that caused the crash. Does the editor still crash?

That's so weird that's its consistent for me but no one else can seem to replicate it.

Real quick on these steps:
When I navigate to an empty preset and reboot the FM9, preset 001 loads up instead of the empty preset. I assume this is normal behavior but I am confused by step 2.

Under the screen your 5th knob on far right should say setup. Click that and then use big knob or down arrow and go to global settings and then press 1st knob on far left under screen for "enter". Go down to "startup preset" and change that to LAST USED.

So when you start up fm9 it'll start up on whatever last preset you were on

Change Startup Preset to LAST USED.

Ok so no. It appears when I followed those steps I was unable to crash FM9 Edit.
But, as soon as I switched to the Marco Fanton GoT preset (p:370) I was immediately able to crash it.
