That's not really how they port the code. Different processors and different hardware require different code.Interesting that the 3 got it first, but I guess it makes perfect sense to start on the lower processing power and scale up from there. I'm just grateful it's finally getting done. Look forward to it, Cliff!

But it has 2 cab blocks like the 3I thought the FM9 had the same processor as the 3...just doubled?
I was referring to all three units.I thought the FM9 had the same processor as the 3...just doubled?
I can’t recall does FM9 cab block run on accelerator or is that part of the CPUI was referring to all three units.
The FM CPU are the same but where processing occurs is different. If the hardware was identical the same code would run on both and release at the same time.
If I remember right it is a FIR accelerator in the FM3 and a core in the FM9. Look in the Wiki because Yek captured Cliff’s comments and I’m sure it’s in there.I can’t recall does FM9 cab block run on accelerator or is that part of the CPU
We can take that to the bank...
I just stumbled on this while looking for something else:If I remember right it is a FIR accelerator in the FM3 and a core in the FM9. Look in the Wiki because Yek captured Cliff’s comments and I’m sure it’s in there.
FM3 gang for life!Well they posted the Dyna Cab beta for the FM3! We can't be far behind!!!
IIRC only CAB1 runs on the accelerator and CAB2 on the core, in fact CAB2 uses more cpuI just stumbled on this while looking for something else:

So ... will the Dynacabs be 1024 or 2048 samples on the FM9? Not that it's that important - just curious.
I guess I got my answer ...I just stumbled on this while looking for something else:

+1the Marshall emulations are truly spectacular.
