FM3 randomly cycling through Scenes on stage!

Had a pretty rough show last night in front of 8000 people! My FM3 started randomly cycling through all scenes within a preset. Like one every half second, so very quickly and in order (1 through 8 very fast and then over and over). Has anyone ever experienced this behavior??

I have a Bluetooth MIDI interface that has pgm/scene changes sent from Abelton. Works perfectly well. Naturally I thought that might have been the issue when this started occurring so I unplugged it completely and the problem persisted. It happened on a few patches too, not just one.

How could the FM3 be changing scenes rapidly like that with no instructions from anywhere to do so?

The only thing I can imagine is that I tried plugging directly into EU power for a couple shows on this tour (I have another thread about why). Could weird power cause issues like this?

Came pretty close to ruining the show and I’d like to prevent it from ever happening again! I have another show tonight…

I’m still on the final beta of firmware 11 btw. Never had the issue in two months of touring until now.

Do you have a protective cover on the FM3?

Could be it slipped out of position and was pressing the switch...

Successful show last night. I just tightened down those nuts a bunch as they were quite loose on the footswitches - especially the one I have set for “Scene Increment” on most patches! What must have happened was that during the show with all the subs and everything pumping it was shaking the loose connection so much so as to trigger the scene changes constantly.

Seems to be well now, thanks for the tips. Friendly reminder to all to tighten those switches and nuts if you’re touring heavily!
