FM3 Firmware Version 9.01

1) the main firmware, and 2) a separate Dyna-Cab file. To install both files using automatic download, please use the version of Fractal-Bot that is built into the latest release of FM3-Edit.

Does this mean that it's an all-in-one install if using the latest Fractal-Bot version or do we still have to install the new Dyna Cabs separately? I am coming from FW8.0 thanks.
Automatic download means the editor tells you there’s new firmware available and asks if you want to download it. If you click “Yes,” it will... automatically download the file for you.

Just a circle? Not filled in? Those have been around for years. That just means that a parameter can connect to a modifier. The circle gets filled in when you actually connect a modifier.

If the circles are already filled in, what modifiers are they connected to?
Ah I think you're right, maybe the circles are not filled in, I need to check. I'm surprised I didn't notice that before if they've always been there lol

Hello, I recently updated the firmware on my FM3 to version 9.01 including the dynacab update. Since then my expression control is not functioning properly. Specifically, when using it to turn my wah block on and off it wont work. I've tried refreshing after firmware update and reinstalling the firmware and it still isnt working. If I rock the foot controller back and forth it does adjust the wah sweep but it wont turn off. In the mean time I've removed the wah block from all my presets but as a gigging guitarist who does a lot of weddings, I need my wah. Any input?

FW 9.02 Beta 1 seems to solve this issue. You could either gig the beta (risky) or roll back till 9.02 is official (recommended).
Or use the wonderful mutron instead.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Unfortunately, I didn't back up my presets before hand and I lost it all.

Hi everyone, since I upgraded to version 9.01, the Harley Benton MP-100 MIDI footswitch disconnects after 10 seconds. Has anyone experienced similar issues? With the previous versions of the FM3, I didn't have these issues, except for rare freezes.
Thanks!

What do you mean by "disconnects"?

A midi controller doesn't really have a "connection" other than the physical cabling.

I took a look at the manual, but honestly, I couldn't understand it:

https://www.manualeduso.it/harley-benton/mp-100/manuale?p=5

I have never had any problems with this pedalboard; I don’t understand why it’s behaving like this now.
The real manual is here:

https://images.thomann.de/pics/atg/atgdata/document/manual/432459_c_432459_r1_en_online.pdf

Those symbols appear to be for USB although there's nothing in the manual about them.

There is no USB connection on the FM3 that could be used by this controller so I have no idea how a firmware update could possibly be related to this.

You aren't by any chance connecting the midi controller to the USB A port on the FM3, are you?

Edit:

Maybe contact Thomann and ask about those symbols?

The “On” image is a standard USB 2.0 Data Connection, note underneath it says MIDI. For the “Off” Image i believe this just shows no Data-Connection, note Underneath it say PWR, which implies Power Connection only No Data. What is the USB connected to, a mobile/other Device, a USB Power Source or the USB of the FM3. Can you run the device on Batteries and remove USB to take Power Source out of the Equation. Best of luck
