I was curious about that too unix-guy. Weird that it wouldn't load an ir by default. Usually it's the 1x4 pig nose.
Yes... But could be a block library / saved block without an IR or a with a selected but missing user IR.I was curious about that too unix-guy. Weird that it wouldn't load an ir by default. Usually it's the 1x4 pig nose.

I don't know. All my presets sound badProbably related to the Compressor block changes?
Input pad level (settings/IO/Input 1 pad) too low? Is the clip indicator going off on the unit?I don't know. All my presets sound bad

Do the factory presets sound bad?All my presets sound bad
Have you tried a different USB cord? That sounds like a cord with a bad connection. Also, check the USB ports on the cord and PC for dust/lint. Use a toothpick to get it out.Anyone else having sudden USB connection instability after using 10 beta for a little bit? My Windows 10 machine has suddenly decided it wants to keep disconnecting and reconnecting to my FM3.

That's because that setting doesn't affect the signal level into the grid...Hello. In setup input 1, pad 6db. I put It in 12db and nothing change.
I ended up rolling back to 9.01, didn't seem to help initially, but having both the unit and PC off for an extended period seems to have cleared what ever issue I had.Have you tried a different USB cord? My thought was that it might be clipping the AD converter circuit. Dunno if that's a thing you can actually hear though. That's because that setting doesn't affect the signal level into the grid...

It may depend on pickup height. I’ve got low output pups and have -12db pad too.The pad is already on -6db.
Is it a normal behavior to have to set such a low paf output at -12db?
I find this interesting. I have high output pups: fishman classics and seymour duncan hyperions. I also use a 12db pad.It may depend on pickup height. I’ve got low output pups and have -12db pad too.
Its fairly low really. It may depend on pickup height. I’ve got low output pups and have -12db pad too.

Only suggested this as I was surprised how much difference this makes. I had a low output pup triggering clip when a high output one didn’t. mm made a big difference, I didn’t notice this as much with tube amps as my ears aren’t as sensitive as the flashing lights on the FM3Its fairly low really.
