FM3 1.06b1 USB control panel no devices connected - FM3 Edit says connected

So I updated from 1.05 yesterday as I was getting the USB audio drop out glitch and everything was working fine. Some time today FM3 Edit crashed and now I can't get the FM3 to show up in the FM3 USB driver control panel. I reset all the presets and user settings on the device, updated windows, uninstalled all drivers and resintalled, power cycled, used multiple cables and USB 2.0. I can't get it to connect to fractal bot and update firmware. It seems to be recognizing something as it shows COM1 on FM3 Edit (pic 2). Any tips?

Tested again with my laptop and it still doesn't connect, sounds like a hardware issue?

Do you have the newest fm3 editor, newest came out July 30th? and fractal bot

Yes to both as I only received the unit this week and tried multiple reinstallations

If fm3 is shows connected ,can you use fractal bot though your tools on fm3 edit (just found out my self its build into the edit) Might have to contact support if no one chimes in for a fix .

I had same messages and had to uninstall and reinstall BOTH fractal apps in the "driver bundle"? I had to do that when I went from 104 to 105.
But you mention you did that already
