Epic 70’s songs and bands



Saw Rick D and Band play support for Zeppelin on July 24, 1977 at a Day on the Green-TOTALLY kicked ass--best live band I'd ever seen til I saw VH the next year, also at a DOG.(Judas Priest opened up supporting 'Sin After Sin' on their 2nd west coast date ever, no one knew who the were-they were also great)
 
It's cool to see someone perform an awesome cover of a song, but it stinks when they fail. Garth Brooks tried and failed; Little Feat still owns this song.
 
I already posted GV but the guy's early stuff is so classic 70s I think he deserves a 2nd entry (besides, I need a rest from the intensely interesting Front Panel discussion threads) - Here's "New Fix for 76" - screams 70s
