Epic 70’s songs and bands

yet another great from down the road in Montreal (Dragonfly - 76, Performance 79) - your biker audiences will eat this one up!

I first saw Frank on a broadcast of CalJam (I believe it was CalJamII) and immediately went out to buy the live album. I wore that one out. I saw him live in 1980 on the “Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon” tour (I still have the t-shirt in a closet). Missouri, Angel and Mother’s Finest were on the bill too. Frank was the headliner and came on shortly after 9pm. He put on a helluva show and played until nearly 1am ( I remember the time because I was thinking my parents were going to be mad I was out so late) I still remember how the audience was just staring at him as he played Electric Reflections of War - amazing. I went on to purchase several SGs because of Frank.

Got another chance to see him in the early 2000’s at a club near DC. He’s a great player live. Always dug how he went from bluesy to jazzy to shred.
