Bump for the century 200 or rg100 es or mxr flanger doubler models
I have no choice but to re-hash this because it is tragic that we do not ee those randalls modelled. The circuit is not hard to find. Why wouldn't this company wish to try to replicate some gear of the most natural player that has ever played this instrument? The guy was so special of a player that you CANNOT find a single error in any video of playing by that guy on the entire internet. He was a machine and probably from another world. I find it unacceptable that his stuff has not had any models by this company.
IMO, this thread needs a spinoff into the presets room to discuss building this rig.
Most of the ask here is about getting a Randall amp in the box, but I'm not convinced that's the secret sauce. It would be convenient to have and match Dime's tone more easily by just approximating knobs on the box. But the core assertion that's made with the request is that we can't achieve the Randall tone with existing amps in the box. I remain unconvinced, but I'm not an expert.
However, there's more to his tone than just matching the preamp, amp, and loop EQ. Cabinets are a big one, but also his attack is a unique part of his sound. What kind of gate or input settings can help achieve that attack? Did Pantera use compression in post production that we can approximate in the Axe? What about the Enhancer or other doubler methods to simulate the multitracking? These are all core parts of Dime's tone that need to be taken into account. The amp is just one variable.

And yes I checked out that sound and it's not even close. For anybody who is actually interested in this topic, this video attached at the bottom of this is one that finally explains matters. He is the only person on the entire internet that has a tutorial on how to get the sound. Nobody else knows how. And Old's attempt is not even close either.
I do not understand why Fractal does not want to model that Randall amp. It is an extremely amazing amp. The RG100HT, ES and Century are absolute must amps to have modeled.
Thanks for sharing, Sandman. I'm using @2112's settings for a 2203 with a GEQ pre and 7-band in-amp post EQ with your shared cabs. Attached is the preset and it sounds damn close. Still a bit dark and lacking a bit of punch, but a good start. For all fans of Dimebag Darrell, I have a pack of Ir cabinets for Jaguar Speaker.
