Can't get dry audio over USB — bug or user error?

Rex

Dignified but Approachable
I just loaded up the USB driver (v.150.0). It's working fine, except that I can't find a dry audio channel; I just get Output 1 L/R.

Windows shows my Axe II as 3- Axe-FX II Audio. Reaper shows this as a two-channel device. I can get Left or Right as mono inputs in Reaper, and Left/Right as the stereo input. Reaper shows the Axe II as a 2-input/2-output device.

I tried running the USB Audio Class Control Panel. When I go to Device 0 and click either the Input Channels or Output Channels button, I get two errors:
.
TUSBAUDIO_AudioControlRequestGet failed.
Status = 0xEF000012 (unknown)

TUSBAUDIO_AudioControlRequestGet failed.
Status = 0xEF000004 (unknown)
.
Then a grayed-out Input Volume or Output Volume window appears.
  • Win7x64
  • Axe-Edit 1.0.239 (connects with and manipulates my II with no problem)
  • Reaper 4.02 x64 (also working fine)
Is this a bug, or is it PEBCAK?

Duh. ASIO, ASIO, ASIO. Thanks for the jog, Cliff.

That still doesn't fix the Control Panel problem, though.

I should've known you already had it covered (should've dug a little deeper, too). Thanks, Alex!
