It will stay in the rack. I'll be using a separate foot controller. Will it stay in the rack during the gig, or will you take it out and put it on the floor?
Sure, but I'm exploring different options. Did not rule the af3 out yet completelly, but would like to have the option to gig with the FM3 if necessary.Use an AxeFx III. Ok seriously, sure a shelf with velcro. That way it can stay with the band rack or you can easily pull it out to take home for programming and updates if you want
Just agreeing on the shelf/velcro option as the best way imo.Sure, but I'm exploring different options. Did not rule the af3 out yet completelly, but would like to have the option to gig with the FM3 if necessary.
Was just going to suggest this. It'd also be easier to pull it out with the shelf slid out....Sliding rack shelf is a great option as well. You can have it slid out a bit so the screen is visible during performance.
I think the handles would not fit in a 2U space. Maybe they can be removed but have not tried yet.I’m thinking of doing this too.
A 1U sliding rack in a 2U space would work? 4U total with Matrix gt1600.

Yep, this important if whatever above doesn’t extend that far behind the front plate and has a bunch of cables coming out the back.I went with a sliding rack shelf, just make sure no wires touch the lil output knobs on top / back , slight contact can turn off the output easily.
