I can get it with most overdriven amps by turning up Thump and Drive. For example, Thump on 10 and turning up Drive or vice-versa can get that effect.I'll just add that the Dirty Shirley amps are the only ones I've tried so far with such an extreme speaker on fire effect. The JTM45 model doesn't do it.
If I understand correctly , Fractal has already updated ALL. of the curves in 20.02 based on the new technique and measurementLike others said before, I don't understand how the new impedance curve update work with the presets. I updated to this 20.02 and check the new impedance curve is active in the global menu (YES by default) but I don't know if I have to change all presets manually or export and import them? I have no editing LED on when I switch the presets so nothing to save, or is it automatic ?
+ the speaker impedance curve, I can use default or scroll a lot of speakers, but in the global menu I don't understand, do this change all the curves to one speaker?
Existing presets are automatically updated to use the updated curves if “Update Pre-20.02 Presets Spkr Imp Upon Load” is set to YES.
That is my assumption, yes.So if I understand correctly, if I don't modify any preset, I can switch to YES/NO , to compare and when I save an edited preset, you can't go back to the pre 20.02 curve?

Just revert to previous firmware assuming you haven't saved any presets on the current version. Firmware doesn't change presets...Seems like my Marshall presets have a nasally cocked way thing going on…and I didn’t back up before updating![]()
I mean to be fair we shouldn’t have to guess how it works. The release notes should be clearer or honestly Cliff is here daily he could elaborate on how exactly it works. That is my assumption, yes.
...or you could send your question to support.I mean to be fair we shouldn’t have to guess how it works. The release notes should be clearer or honestly Cliff is here daily he could elaborate on how exactly it works.
That's correct!
(though technically, the Save button is always enabled, whether or not changes are detected. The element you are referring to is called the "EDITED LED")
It might be me who is confused. I will ask Cliff.
I dont want to poop on this party, but maybe the Global Parameter option was ill conceived. Just resetting the amp blocks may have been easier to manage.Yeah I'd much rather just have the new SIC applied to all of my existing presets without me having to do/save anything
But if you'd put custom values in a bunch of presets, those values would be lost so that parameter has a noble intended use, though, for custom values, i'd prefer a handful of custom slots we could put our own values in not affected by fw updates.I dont want to poop on this party, but maybe the Global Parameter option was ill conceived.
