Thank you - I was thinking that was the case, but appreciate the confirmation!!The „Detector Type“ isn‘t available for every compressor type.
The Juicer (which I also like very much!) doesn't have it.

I don't have that problem.WHY is it, on Windows, when I install an Axe-Edit update that it completely DELETS the AxeEdit SHORTCUT? It messes up the Taskbar and also my Desktop Shortcut order each time. I don't have this problem with any other company (line6, Neural,...)
Isn't it possible to fix this BUG?
And the new shortcut is placed on the desktop in the same spot as the old.I don't have that problem.
Yes, the shortcut gets deleted because the app is uninstalled as part of the new version install.
However the new version install creates a new shortcut.
If you pin edit to the taskbar after install (so that, for example, Win+3 opens edit), the pin is lost during the next update (and then Win+3 opens what used to be Win+4).I don't have that problem.

Mine creates a new shortcut and places it on my desktop. This. I keep mine checked so that it creates a new shortcut. Not at my Axe, but I'm pretty certain creating a desktop shortcut is an option in the installer. If you don't check that, which i don't because i already have one, it probably won't do anything to it.
Mine never puts it in the same spot. I keep my shortcut icon at the top middle of the screen. New shortcuts always pop up on the left. And the new shortcut is placed on the desktop in the same spot as the old.
I'm on Windows, no idea if Mac is the same, but my old shortcut still works after updates, so i don't tell it to create one, don't need to.Mine creates a new shortcut and places it on my desktop. I just move it to where I had it before.

The Mac does not remove and re-add icons in the Dock during app updates, unless there’s an app icon change it’ll update it.I'm on Windows, no idea if Mac is the same, but my old shortcut still works after updates, so i don't tell it to create one, don't need to.

This used to happen to me all of the time as well. Don't know what changed, but I haven't had to add the shortcut to the taskbar for quite some time now. Windows 10.This has been happening for half a year or so. I don't know if it's an Axe-Edit problem or if it has something to do with a Windows update, but I would also be happy if it could be fixed somehow.
Maybe that's the real issue. If you pin edit to the taskbar after install (so that, for example, Win+3 opens edit), the pin is lost during the next update (and then Win+3 opens what used to be Win+4).
Pinned taskbar icons remain in Windows 10 after an update of Axe-Edit, but not in Windows 11. I just tried it out. However, I'm pretty sure that until recently, pinned taskbar icons also remained in Windows 11. This is most probably Windows 11 related and should perhaps be discussed further here: https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/windows-11.216196/On my Windows 10 PC, the pinned Taskbar link to Axe Edit III remains in place after update. The shortcut points to 'Axe Edit III.exe', so I presume that as this is replaced by a new version with exactly the same name, it continues to function without needing to be re-pinned.
Same for me, I just updated my Win10 Machine in the Studio and tadaaaaa, it didn't delete itself from the taskbar.Pinned taskbar icons remain in Windows 10 after an update of Axe-Edit, but not in Windows 11. post the preset? After updating to 31.01, I’m hearing strange high-end ringing/feedback on the Jazz 120 amp model that wasn’t present before.
If you get a chance to take a look, I’d appreciate it. Thanks for all the continued work on the firmware.
