I'm slightly miffed this gets released while I'm traveling, I'm really looking forward to checking the virtual capo, I use it all the time and that's the kind of improvement that makes a real difference in my use. I'm curious about the "other stuff" that got better though, anything more precise?

Awesome! so I know there have been threads about the VC and I don't use it too often but can someone give me the coles notes on the best overall settings. Say if i just want to go down or up a half step. i know there is a notes/chords setting...but if i'm playing riffs and leads all mixed....whats the best overall setting you are finding? thx

Thank you so much !

"Various other fixes and improvements"

It really drives me insanely curious. It's almost the equivalent of someone close to you saying "we need to talk" (but for a good reason)

Obviously can't speak for FAS and how they run, but "Various other fixes and improvements" is a pretty common junk drawer/catch all term for, you know, various fixes in the software world.

Jokes aside, I hate to use the term insignificant, but my money is on these things being very minor (perhaps even tech-debt type) tweaks/fixes that would have little to no impact to users. I.e. they're surely going to call out all the cool new goodies - even down to plate resistor fixes - 'cause that's how they roll.

This Beta seems to have reduced my kitchen sink preset CPU numbers by about 2%. I had one scene in my kitchen sink that had been running about 82.x% for the past few FWs (was not getting any errors or warnings popping up, rest of the scenes were in the 70-77% range) and it is now down to 80% on that scene. The other ones seem to have shaved some %'s as well. Thanks Team for your continued stellar performance and efforts! To echo my and so many others previous statements, this product is the coolest electronic device I have ever purchased ;~))

Compressor block is a little more CPU efficient.

Major kudos to Cliff & Co for improving the Virtual Capo.🤘 That was THE only area some competitors could claim they were better at something than FAS.

No kudos of any measure to those that would chime in and say the Virtual Capo is perfectly fine when others would wish for improvements in it. 😂

For context, before the "issues" I was using the 'Notes' setting. I use the VC from -2 to +2 and now set the 'Pitch Tracking' to 'Off' with 'Tracking Adjust' set to 4.20. This seems to work best for both licks and chords for me, using clean to edge of breakup tones.

Both 'Notes' and 'Chords' are much better with this update and I could very easily use either one live. 'Notes', and I'm being very picky here, still has a very slight warble playing chords (duh!) and 'Chords' feels a bit more compressed but less latency than prior to this update. The setting I've landed on feels like a great compromise between the two.

Funny, because the German Greenboi's Virtual Capo pretty sucks. With the AX3 I could create a really convincing 8 string tones with a Majesty.
