Apologies for the short answer, I'm at work and haven't actually done any of this. Thankfully other folks chimed in.I'm not seeing it either. A little more clarity other than "read the release notes" would be nice.

Thats it thanks for screenshot so much easierI'm not seeing it either. I don't see a "soft reset" in the amp block's channel context menu.
Edit: "channel" context menu is the key word. I was right-clicking the amp block, where I would intuitively assume it would go. Even after rereading the release notes my brain ignored "channel".

).I think so. Soft Reset is a term in the UI. It now refers to that thing. There may be a potential terminology issue.
We now have the dedicated "Soft Reset" for the Amp block (a very welcome addition!).
But re-selecting an effect type, including amp types, is also often referred to as "soft reset".
Should we stop using that term in the latter case?

There's actually a parameter that switches between PP and SE but it's hidden from the user. It simply shuts off the tube(s) on one side.

That would not be good for troubleshooting, which is one of the main reasons to reset. We think the new Soft Reset is perfect as it is now. This is excellent.
The two option I would also like to keep its setting after a soft reset is the Saturation Switch and Master Vol Location
For troubleshoot the old "reset current channel" or re-selecting the amp are the first thing I would suggest, but a sudden volume change is never good. That would not be good for troubleshooting, which is one of the main reasons to reset. We think the new Soft Reset is perfect as it is now.
Is this Soft Reset the same as Reset Amp Blocks in Presets Manage page in Axe Edit?
Thanks, I need to read more carefully. I got excited and skipped past this!
