Axe-Fx III Firmware 27.04 Public Beta

Not so sure I can grok 27.04 — I’m still basking in the glow of having both the current release FW and the corresponding Factory Presets using the exact same number. Somehow it just seems… right.

Patience. When I was kid, we received equipment upgrades about every five years. Sometimes it took a decade, lol!

Super-human? Biologically impossible? Sure enough of yourself to use a laugh emoji? My memories are clear and confirmed by both parents and grandparents. Your lack of early memory is unfortunate, as is your inability to accept the fact that others possess something with which you were not blessed. But your real problem is whatever psychological issues within you compelled you to post such a childish response.

Now back to what matters. I'm looking forward to getting home and trying this firmware.

Ok man. Went to school for this and have studied human memory for a decade, but sure, you can remember being 2 years old. It was a laugh emoji, and now I have a pyschological issue? Seek the help you need.👍

Me gets excited and bummed these weeks whenever I get a forum update 🤣, I'm a flashaholic, need to flash! Fractal provides! 🤘

Also in my late 50s, I might be the one that doesn't get excited, especially as the modelling gets more accurate and new models appear. Typically goes something like:
  1. "Ooh, can't wait to try the new XXX model, I used to have one of those."
  2. "Uncanny, it honestly nails the tone and feel exactly as I remember it!"
  3. "Ah, OK, I can remember how I struggled to get that to do exactly what I wanted, and it had a couple of things in the tone I couldn't love, and then I sold it."
  4. "Guess I'll just go to the 'kitchen sink' presets that are based on the last amps and effects I kept again, and I use for everything. They might need a tweak, but they will definitely sound a little better."
I generally look at the release notes, and make a decision on whether I want to go for the public beta version or not. Mostly wait for the release nowadays. Respect to those that do all the private and public beta testing; it's a valuable part of making the Fractalverse what it is.

Of course every now and then there's a change that tips the whole apple cart up to a new level, and I really appreciate those ones.

Oh OK, I am excited now. I have a bunch of compressor pedals, and have never sold a single one... If you've improved the Dynacomp model (not sure you could...), or have anything like a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer for lo-fi vibes, I will be REALLY excited. Got to say the studio quality compressors to date have been hard to fault, but DynamiComp is kind of a default for me.
