If you go to the ideal tab and there is a bright switch, it works. It's not just painted on.I know I've read somewhere that the BS isn't operational on every amp...am I making that up?
I don't believe that's true for every amp model. If you go to the ideal tab and there is a bright switch, it works. It's not just painted on.

It doesn't work on every amp model, the same with other Ideal parameters depending upon the amp model. I tested all Ideal parameters on each model and made a comprehensive list when I noticed it a couple of years ago.the bright switch should always work as you can go into the ideal tab, add a bright switch to any amp that normally doesn't have one. It's a fundamental way of adding and subtracting highs

Pretty sure I had the bright switch on in 25.04 for the AC30 Brilliant. Now, the bright switch is untenable. Which is fine as I guess they don't have any bright switches on the real thing. I thought the switch didn't do anything on the amps that didn't have one?
