just thinking about impedance and tonal qualities of a mic and preamp.

Example: 57 model into the transformer based preamp model.

Could be a dumb idea.

I have no knowledge of whether impedance between a mic a preamp would have any effect or not...

Some people on this forum just suck all the joy out of this job. I've spent months on this and it works and sounds awesome but some people still have to complain.

Cliff, I can't thank you enough for all the work you and your team put into this product. I think the beta version of the dynacabs are amazing. I'm looking forward to the final release. I have 1000's of IR's from all the best brands out there, they are great but something about what you did with your dynacabs is next level. With some of the recommendations from some of the other members and tutorials from @2112 my tones fit in a mix so much easier. It sucks to read your comment about some of the complainers but I totally get it. I've often wondered if you read them or ignore them. I can't speak for anyone other than myself so I'll just say thank you again for your dedicated work and constant updates to an already amazing product.

It seem that the initial excitement for dynacab is vanishing.. I wrote at the beginning, owning captor x, that is not easy to have a great sound if you dont know mic specs and the position related to what you want to obtain.. This is why most ir's are made by professional who make this work.. And about to sm57 i confirm that also in the captor doesn't seem this great mic that it is..

You are comparing apples and oranges. Products released in 2012 with 1 DSP and less power were not generating sound of this generation's quality/realism. I remember what I was using then and it wasn't pleasant and drove me to using boutique tube amps. This generation of FAS devices have me thinking of selling all my old gear.

Complaining is easy. Even suggesting is easy. Designing and implementing are difficult.

When I was developing and managing, I had a policy that nobody was allowed to complain to us or tell us "we oughta" do something unless they also provided valid/workable solutions. My management backed us up on that when other people tried to do an end-run and go through their management.

To be able to make a suggestion they'd have to have spent time with the products and know what they were supposed to do, which weeded out all sorts of inane suggestions by people who didn't know what they were talking about but thought they did. It let us focus on what we knew how to do and we knew that people approaching us were able to make useful suggestions or bug reports, and those who did knew they could approach us at any time and brainstorm with us.

As our colleague Jozsef Kiss says, I write little because English is not my language, however, I can say that I have not had any problems with my product, on the contrary, only praise and congratulations for such an excellent product. I traded my Mesa Mark V 90 and my Bogner 2x12 for the Axe II XL+ and 2 Friedman ASM12, and a couple of years ago for the Axe III MKII, and I haven't looked back since. It really changed my life and calmed my GAS anxiety. I have everything I need at any volume. I always check the forum in case there is any new update and little else, but let me tell you that since the first comment on the Public Beta, I haven't stopped reading and I look forward to the final result. I can only thank you for such an excellent job. Thank you so much

I am having a very positive experience with the new Dyna-Cab models, but I'll save any further commentary once the full release is out. The rest of the utility features in the beta are great and serve their purpose well in my rig. I look forward to diving further into the tone making possibilities that all of Cliff and teams' hard work as given us.

On a side note, if someone could please confirm if the Paragon wah model is or is not working, that would be very helpful. I find that it is the only wah model that has ceased to cooperate (ie. it is not "wah'ing"). I have tried the usual methods of confirming an issue and solving it, but I cannot find a solution. Thank you in advance.

Anyhow, thank you for the beta and the untold amount of hard work that went into it. It is free for us users but has no doubt cost you in ways that may not be seen or felt by us in as direct a way as it has been for you Cliff and Co. Thank you.

I think we need a whole new forum post for actual constructive comments on the beta. Like for example, a million pages back - someone mentioned the Paragon wah wasn’t working anymore.
