Of course it will. It will also unleash the wrath of vocal opponents.
XL+ was the best gear purchase I ever made. I held off until there were features I felt were important like a built in backup rom chip, faster processor, more memory, etc. Coming from the tube world, I'm blown away by the modeling.I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade to the XL+ but I figured when I do the AxeFx 3 will be announced. How are the wahs? At least I'll have the Ax8 update to look forward to.
I was excited to see Q6 subject line and then open it to feel a little saddened. lol But I'm incredibly happy with 5.03. If this is the end of the line then....
PleaseLet's leave the discussion about the Mark I/II to another thread and keep this thread on-topic.

Man... I can see both sides of it, but it still amazes me people would want to be left out of updates because they are unwilling to move forward. all 4% of them...
At this time there is no Mark I/II version as I could not get the firmware to fit in memory.
Release Notes:
Fixed bug that could possibly cause crashes/lockups.
4% stays on 5.03
The rest of us get 6
Will Mk II users at least be getting an update for this?Release Notes:
6.00
Fixed bug that could possibly cause crashes/lockups.
I have been happy with the sound of the AXE FXII for some time, and I thank you for all you have done to improve your product over the years.
Could this bug at least be fixed for MKII users?
It would be a shame for the final 5.03 firmware version for MKII users to have a bug that could cause crashes/lockups.
I'm afraid it's not that simple. If you update from FW18 to Q6 for example, you'd be happy not to see your patches destroyed when putting on your Axe Fx after FW update. The other way round would probably be to upgrade/increment versions one by one pace by pace up until the forelast version, it's a bit longer but it should work. Howbeit, Q6.0 would obligatory need the 5->6 compatibility. Well, let's just wait and see.Exactly. I never use the old versions NEVER. I did the first time Cliff put them in just to check it out and I never thought about it again it's a feature that I bet most users of XL and MK don't use. I bet over 90% of users don't even use. So why would you keep in a feature that most users by far don't use? I'd rather have the latest update than old firmware that is inferior imho. I sure hope Cliff figures something out.
