Not necessarily. That extra time allows another 500 trllion neutrinos the opportunity to pass through and potentially alter the bits before the change has a chance to take effect. Of course that won’t happen, but it could. That five seconds was precisely derived and calibrated with computational tools, the kind used by Caltech high-energy physicists and NASA engineers.

On topic…
The OD-1 is true to the actual pedal. That’s the one pedal that I always brought as a back-up to my entire pedalboard, back when it was necessary. This model is spot-on. A/B’d with the physical version in a loop, the model has the same feel.

I have played this beta for many hours each day, and haven’t personally run across a general problem of any kind. Stable performance.
 
Just tried the OD-1 and did a quick comparison through headphones and OD-1 sounds about the same as mine. Nice! I can now recreate my ~20 year old self entire signal chain. That is one of the few pedals I've kept and had it since I think about 1991 (was well used before then). Used it for about 90% everything into a big silverface vibrolux (that was truly awesome and too loud when turned up) playing college alt rock/light punk at house parties. Also had a DS-1 for heavier things (and sometimes stacked the two) and a SE-50 for chorus and reverb so we could play Nirvana .

Hey, I dig your preset ! Worked right out of the gate. playing thru headphones at the moment, havent put it thru my monitors yet, but with the headphones, just added legacy 192 and 193 YA 2x12 REZ and Boom, there it is.. my sound.. Not sure whats new but preset with the preview cabs worked awesome ! Thank you !

As you can tell from the other three scenes I like the gain, but am really enjoying the Xpress/Wreckr scene a lot. Glad you like!

Different music, but same setup back then! An OD-1 into a Silverface Virbrolux Reverb. If the venue was larger, I’d use a Silverface Pro Reverb (they used the same cabinet as a Twin). The OD-1 just lit them both up. I had the older Blackfaces too, but nobody would take the Silverface amps and I had them at peak form. Big Fenders in really large room venues sound great. In the wrong size room, they’re too percussive.

Stay tuned you’all. I’ll try the OD-1 and Fender model against the real thing, and report back.
 
The FW is still in beta and it's rare to have Axe Edit updated for a beta. It wasn't until a couple of recent FW versions that an updated Axe Edit was provided prior to the final FW release.
