Weird , no artifacts for me using modern expander, Like i put 10 gain 5153 red or any high gain amp whatsoever. The thing I try to set is to have zero noise while playing but to not have the weird frequency when you palm mute a note, and it is not possible yet. You are obliged to set up the ratio high to be noise free, but while doing this, you have the « robotic artefact » when you palm mute. So I decide to let the noise run to not have it, I set the ratio to the point you have no noise while not playing only, but yeah the noise still there . It is better than before I think. Cleaning a high gain signal, having the whole sustain at the same time and having no noise in the end of the note… Maybe it’s impossible .
The new 6160 are great, the drive knob seems to act better than before in them .
The new shred in the input boost gives you an instant chuggy tone with whatever head , funny
Axe-Edit III 1.12.13 provides support for Axe-Fx III firmware 21.02 public beta 3Oh have not experimented much with it. but it was certainly better than earlier the couple of times i tried it.
We’re all waiting for axe edit . XD

Absolutely. My Slayer playing is certainly better a little 'tipsy' More authentic And what's with all this 'quiet stages' and 'IEM's' hoodoo? And don't get me started on 'synched to timecode controlling patch changes and visuals' ? And whats all this about.................... hang on.....................In the end you know what ? f*** the gate .
I’ve done hundreds of gigs with a stack at 5 without any gate pedals just using my volume knob, so yeah f*** that shit. I’ll set it with a ratio at 2, just to remove some noise when I don’t play, but for the rest you cannot really hear it in a mix or band. Feedback and noise is rock n roll, right? Who cares . Let’s get drunk and play fast punk, and throwing the guitar in the cab like I use to do when I was younger . Rock n roll !
Yeah I don't think this is noise created by amp gain or anything to do with the Axe Fx. I have similar noise when I'm too close to a computer or laptop. Move 2 feet in the other direction or face a different direction and BOOM, no more noise.I think if you move away from your pc and use a tiny bit less gain, that noise could go away with moderate gate settings.
Exactly . The more it goes, the more I rediscover life when I listen to old records where the tone was dirty, where there was feedback and noise. Without it it’s sterile. And yeah silent stage particulary in bar and small stage suck. When you are in front of the band, you only hear the drums as the guitars are on the PA. Most of the time the guitars are eaten when they play through modelers. Back in the days, when you go to see a band with cranked stacks on stage it immediately make you move, it was loud, it was rock n roll. Now the public is not caught by the sound, they don’t move anymore, watching a band without amps is …talking about small places hm, underground stuff. When you see a band in a big place that’s not a problem.Absolutely. My Slayer playing is certainly better a little 'tipsy' More authentic And what's with all this 'quiet stages' and 'IEM's' hoodoo?
