Axe-Edit 3.09 is now available at http://www.fractalaudio.com/p-axe-edit-software.php

This version fixes a bug in Axe-Manage Cabs and also sneaks in two nice new features.

NEW FEATURES

  • Implemented a "Keep Open" mode for all Picker windows (Preset, Amp Type, Cab Type, Tempo, etc.). This feature keeps the picker open until you manually close it, allowing you to audition various choices with a SINGLE CLICK, or using the ARROW KEYS to navigate and ENTER to load the current selection. You can "Pin" a Picker by holding Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) while opening it, or by clicking the "Push Pin" icon in the upper right corner once the Picker window appears.
  • Improved the legibility of dropdowns and picker windows by soft-switching them from "ALL CAPS" to "Title Case" (with exceptions for special items like FAS, LFO, etc.)

ISSUES ADDRESSED

  • 1. Corrected a bug in Axe-Manage Cabs that prevented Axe-Fx II XL user cab slots greater than 256 from being properly manipulated via drag and drop operations.

It will be fine if this Picker window work for the Import Preset too, choosing presets for audition from Factory Presets outside from Axe, close every time when one preset is chosen, even if the Picker is enabled.
 
Thanks for reducing some mousing/clicking.

If blocks would remember last tab visited, that reduces navigation too. As we bounce between amp/cab/drive etc, we often return to the location we were tweaking last, especially in the amp block.
