I think the biggy add here is the FAS Boost...

V1.01 Release Notes

V1.01 is a maintenance release, and contains the following BUG fixes:

 Added FAS Boost to the DRIVE Block

 Fixed Modifiers on the PAGE3 of the WAH Block

 FXLOOP Block correctly restores it state on Preset and Scene change

 Metronome in the TEMPO now works

 Controllers no longer cause an audible pop or click

 Scene Changes made on the LAYOUT GRID, such as Effect BYPASS, are now correctly

saved to the preset

 Replacing a CPU intensive effect block, with a less intensive block (such as a SHUNT), is

no longer blocked by the unit

 Global Controllers Volume Increment and Decrement now work

 Fixed a bug where:

Setting Tap Tempo to the “F1” function switch disabled the

“F2” and “F3” LEDs.

Setting Tap Tempo to the “F2” function switch disabled the

“F3” LED.

 Single TAP TEMPO will now timeout correctly and return you the main screen

 Compressor Side Chain now works correctly

 Both channels of the stereo CABINET block now output the same level

 Attaching a controller to the DRIVE parameter of the AMP block no longer causes a

+25% increase in CPU utilization

 PHASER LFO phase works correctly
 
Wow! thanks! and for those that don't have an Axe II ,quantum 2.0 is something amazing to really look forward to
 
does the AX8 have protection against a fumbled fw update like the Axe II XL?
Yes, if you brick the unit:

1) Turn it off
2) Press the Shift Key
3) Turn it on
4) Release the Shift Key
5) Page to the Firmware Screen.
6) Press <ENTER>

In Fractal-Bot:

1) Hold the Control Key and click on "Select Device"
2) Select Utility
3) Set your MIDI Buffer Delay to at least 20mS
4) Select the file
5) Download.

That should fix you up.

Awesome support via firmware as usual. No other company comes close.

Now if I just need the hardware to go with the new firmware. :)
