are certain amp models meant to have low volume levels?

i was always under the impression that double pressing the bypass button will reset the amp parameters to their baseline default settings.
when i did this with the new deluxe tweed model, the volume level is very low compared with other clean models (deluxe verb, double verb, etc)
the master level in the amp block had to be cranked to get an audible tone.
i now realize that the prince tone 1 and 2 models are like that also.
were these meant to be?

that aside, the deluxe tweed is likely going to be my default clean preset from here on; it sounds great!

Yes, the volume level of the Tweed deluxe is quite low (even with Master at 9).
Don't worry, the Level parameter offers enough range to compensate.

One of the things I've been contemplating is putting a little mark on the MV for the suggested initial setting.

Thumbs up on that. Would save me some hours surfing the Net researching amps I do not own or haven't tried (or can't remember how I set them!).

+1 on the MV Mark

And +3 on a nice video,on the Amp/Tone matching Tutorial
Setting up the MFC-101 and all
