of course it does. everyone should do that, because everyone's liking is completely different. That’s the « tweaked to his liking » that makes a huge difference lol.

Butch is here!Hey yall! Butch here!!
Wanted to say thank you so much for all the kind words, and i hope you all are enjoying your Fractals as much as i am.
I’ve been asked a lot since the video dropped if i would do a presets pack. Gonna work hard on finding some time to put that together for yall. Studio work is busy right now so I’ll have to carve out some time to get that together!
Guitar is my #1 instrument and I’ve been a lifer for all things guitar related, so it’s really fun to be part of this community of people that share the same passion for it.
My one bit of advice when diving into your Fractal is don’t be scared to TURN KNOBS. Sometimes the amps that are emulated react the same way the real ones do when you eq them etc.. And because I’ve been playing guitars and amps since the early 80’s, I’ve actually owned and toured with a lot of the real amps that im using in my Fractals. So i had a lot of time to learn how those amps sounded best when tweaked. I guess that gives an advantage when sculpting tones with the fractal versions. They really do respond super close to the real ones when i set them the way i do.
Also sometimes boosts/overdrives/compression before the amp can really make certain amps in the fractal come ALIVE, so don’t be afraid to experiment with those as well. And yes a little room verb can really warm up a cold dry tone without it getting to “Worship Washy” tone (I like that sound too, but it’s all preferential) (◡̈)
Ok i hope you all have fun and thanks again for the love here!

Yeah but if you’re not Butch Walker it might not sound the same.Nice, very cool of you to drop in! Those tones (and playing) were killer. Hope you can find the time to put together some kind of preset pack because I know so many people would dig it.
You forgot hands! Motherfucker does some aggressive up strokes, hence the welcomed attack and brightness.Just like any other preset, guitar, amp, etc.
Yes of course!Yeah but if you’re not Butch Walker it might not sound the same.
Hey @BDubs it’s really awesome you stopped by!
Thank you for taking the time to post here Butch. Amazing tones and great video with Cooper Carter !Hey yall! Butch here!!

I really like that video! It sums up whats unique about the Axe pretty nicely. Other modelers bothered me because the presets are mostly over the top and no matter how much you tweak the shit out of your patch, something is off in terms of sound and feel, even after years of using that modeler. On the Axe I just load any amp I am familiar with together with an IR and it sounds and feels fantastic already. Just like when I hook that particular amp up on a rective load. You get exactly what you expect without loosing yourself in the rabbithole of tweaking shit... And spend more time playing and practicing with a smile.
It is good to see that the FAS team continuously gets the credits they well deserve.![]()
I anxiously await the possibility of your tone pack dropping. Fingers crossed.Hey yall! Butch here!!

I often attach it to a scene switch. That and using scene controllers on gain, or boost level or treble.Anyone else doing the saturation as a button option?
Tried it at a gig last night…. Felt pretty good switching it on off….
In the video, Butch says he’s using a 2290 slap back delay and the small plate reverb. I think both are contributing to that “room sound“ that he does so well. On the 2290, I do about 140 ms with about 8% mix. On the small plate do about 10% mix. That should get you about 90% of the way on his reverb sound.Any idea of settings to recreate his reverb? I don’t like reverb but this one is just fantastic for me
