Access to Looper from Perform Layout

I apologize if this has been discussed (to death) already, still trying to figure out the best way to search forums (feel free to point me in the right direction.)

Plugged in the FC12 last night and I have the general idea of the Layouts, but looking for what other people have done in terms of getting to the Looper Layout from the Perform Layout quickly. My initial thought is just add the Looper as an Effect on Perform Effects, but wondering if people with more experience have better ideas.

Don't know if this help but basically I use 3 layouts: Scenes, Effects and Looper. I bought 2 external switches (4 switches) from amazon. With those I control:
preset up and down, tuner and looper layout access on tap. With the hold function on those I return to my main layout. You always have access to the looper and don't need to occupy a switch on the FC.

The quickest way would be to assign a button with the Layout Link function that links to the Looper Layout.

Personally, I just use the MLM, though.

I added a Hold function to Switch 7 in the Perform 1 layout to take me to the Looper layout and then added tap function to Switch 7 in the Looper layout to take me back to the Perform 1 layout.
